A lot of games where driving is implemented, including GTA where driving isn’t exactly a main focus but instead a popular feature, have some level to it heir drivings realism, physics involved. A game like inzoi could benefit so much from this in addition to some new features!!
Grand Theft Auto ![]()
And they invest hundreds of millions of dollars into physical engine RAGE + Euphoria for vehicle control over 20 years, with $2B+ development budgets and $2B/year in sales revenue (the highest-budget games ever made).
There have only been a couple of games on Unreal Engine with GTA-style driving, incl. MindsEye, which failed spectacularly. So InZoi Studio would need to invest heavily in adapting the UE5 Chaos physics Engine, etc.
This is true. Even so, after crashes, physical damage on the car would be nice, even if not nearly as complex.
Actually, I just remembered!!!
a solid example would be the UE5 demo Matrix Awakens from engine’s own developers. It already shows how car physics can work in real time, with collisions and everything running smoothly. I guess there shouldn’t be any issues using those systems, especially if InZoi Studio taps into Chaos Physics. That could seriously simplify their work on driving mechanics.
If that route works, then yeah — the topic goes top, no question) I play a lot of open-world action games, dropped references here too (Watch Dogs 2, Spider Man 2) so yeah, I’m definitely in.
Yes, absolutely!! I just think a level of continuity relating to cars damages, as well as where you place them in the world, would be nice.
And, it would make driving more enjoyable. Especially in a game like InZoi — being able to experiment with car wrecks as well as the consequences in game would be very try nice.
To add to this, instead of Zois dying after every try crash, some will result in injury and you will have a pained moodlet, a cutscene to the hospital and then a pop up of the severity of the injury!
Zois may optionally receive therapy (mental or physical) after crashes, and for crashes that do end up in death, instead of the zoi just dying and then disappearing after the little cutscene, it would be better to see paramedics arrive after a minute or so to deal with the situation. Any bystanders might look around in shock, and nearby friends and family may be crying at the scene as well. I love to see that level of realism personally, what do you guys think?
Did you say driving isn’t the main focus of Grand Theft AUTO, lol. Sorry, that’s hilarious. The main reason people pay so much for shark cards is the cars. ![]()
Spider Man 2 (12+)
Those scenes look truly alive. Incredible work:
When people say InZOI feels empty, I think this is what they’re pointing at. It’s not about adding more disconnected activities — it’s about building deeper layers within each one, especially emotional depth. Games like this are practically a blueprint for how to do it: players get hooked for hours, just watching the consequences and reactions unfold.
Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator (18+ blood and visible injuries)
You’re right
o sometimes forget the name is about cars lol
Yes!! I love how you take time to research examples like this. And I truly agree, honestly, the game feels emotionally flat because it doesn’t truly feel like a life sim. Life sims should have more emotionally deep elements and consequences in the game, some features like this would be a great start ![]()
I’m simply exploring and playing the same things you’re talking about — trying to help push the game closer to the best open-world action titles. I can see that both the developers and the players want the same direction, but the ideas aren’t being fully pushed through yet.
(Spider Man 2: City Activities — Crowd Behavior, Emotionally Textured NPC Actions, and Social Flow (with references) - Wishlist - inZOI Forums
Watch Dogs 2: Fully-Functional Smartphone UI — ZOIgram, Music App, Director’s Cut, App Shop and More - Wishlist - inZOI Forums + recording gameplay from WD2)
Absolutely!! and your additions help us get there quickly, I really appreciate it
Also would like to add cars swerving, flipping over, etc!!
Also would be nice to see when NPCs are driving, they can hit players and injure them, swerve to avoid hitting them, etc. More like gta
If we got something like this, my zois’ would be such a problem on these roads ![]()
It’s been a minute since I’ve played Sims 2, but I recall you could have your sim take their cars in to get al alarm system installed. With inzoi there could be a similar option, but you take your vehicle in for repairs, etc. Or even better instead of a rabbit hole we could get an actual auto body and repair shop with playable jobs as well. And your zoi can come and drop off their car, even leave it there, and later get a text to come pick their car up and pay.
This could be added onto the insurance system they already gave us! What a wonderful idea!
I love this as well! In Sims 3 I loved the feature where parents could teach their teen how to drive. I would love to see something similar in inzoi as well as tickets and actual consciences to bad or good driving, your zoi having road rage, etc.
like seriously ![]()
Thank you! And I love the idea of car alarms. If the city karma is low you could maybe hear car alarms from robberies at night!
You’re very welcome! And yes! Could you just imagine hearing the alarm and waking up, then having your zoi call the police.![]()
OMG I never even thought about a police system in inzoi, calling emergency services would be so cool!
