The sound of the K-Pop Idols’ singing needs to be seriously toned down in Adam Entertainment; as it stands they can be heard loud and clear from any part of the building, which makes working there torturous at times.
Or at the very least, let the trainees actually improve their singing skills, rather than screeching talentlessly for all eternity (I mean how are they supposed to be music stars with voices like that anyway??)
I’m afraid the problem won’t be solved with the addition of soundproof booths.
The physics of the sounds in the game works strangely. For example, when I’m at home, I can hear everything that happens on the upper floors, even if there are 5 floors above between my character and the sound source. I can hear sounds from the street if I raise the camera high or remove the visual visibility of the walls. Soundproof booths won’t save your ears
They don’t sing well as such, but normally Zois with mid-level Performance skill (4 and up) don’t sound awful and screechy any longer. But the ‘practice vocals’ microphone action seems to sound like that all the time, regardless of level.
The trouble is, played zoi’s singing skill improves, whereas that of the npc K-Pop employees never does. They remain eternally awful, and that is the real problem.
I was only semi-serious about soundproof booths - I know sound can behave oddly in this game. the main point is how awful it is to listen to untrained yodelling day after day. Surely K-Pop stars of the future should at least start out with some ability!
I should suggest to the developers in one of the DLCs to implement a town with an “Advanced Vocal School”. So that NPCs on the streets after attending it would finally start singing normally instead of howling like coyotes. I think the success of the add-on would be phenomenal, and players would get many, many hours of gameplay while they don’t take every resident of each town through this School
The K-Pop studio’s problem isn’t just with bad singers. A career in this organization is coming to a deadlock.
Idols learn to dance, sing, and study producing on computer. So that what? There are no concerts, no festivals, no tours, no competitions.
At the same time, the K-Pop studio is one of two works in the Dowon. The rest of the work is just rabbit holes.
And yes, on top of that, the idols are howling terribly
Well, given that we were promised they’d focus on this work in the near future, I’m confident that the career we currently have is, essentially, also halfway down a “rabbit hole”. Since there are so many microphones in the city, there’s a stage, and a cinema has appeared - I expect full-fledged star performances and a film career. As for “cinema,” these will be very large-scale themed DLCs that simply can’t be added to the base game due to the enormous amount of work involved, if we want them to be not just formal couple of actions, but something truly interesting.
In general, I expect all careers to be expanded. It’s unlikely they’ll leave the firefighters in their current state. Being a firefighter and not putting out a single real fire? Impossible! So the potential for improvements is huge, and judging by the number of vacant buildings, the developers’ plans are no less ambitious.
I’m just playing with the career in this K-Pop studio right now. Indeed, NPC Trainees don’t improve their Performance skills.
I see 2 logical solutions here.
1 ) Simple way - for first, change audio tracks of interaction “Practice vocals” to same audio track “Sing the song” (on 10 lvl); and for second, add a condition for employment in Adam Entertainment for a vacancy “Trainee” have Performance skill 10 Lvl.
It’s a simple way. The developers will need to make a minimum of changes to the game. There is no need to radically change the game mechanics.
Second way is more labor-intensive - Re-record audio tracks for interactions “Practice vocals”. It will be necessary to involve voice actors for the work
I understand that it’s not just about the “performance” skill level. My Zoe has skill level 10, and she also “wails” like NPC trainees do unless I manually select the option for her to “practice singing a specific genre” instead of just “practice singing,” and it all sounds horrible
Because the “Practice Singing” interaction has a different audio track for now.
That’s why I suggest to replace the audio track in this interaction with regular singing (with 10 lvl skill) in the 1st solution
