Most emotional states have one or more skill that improves faster while the mood lasts.
However, being sad neither influences the zoi’s skill-gain with painting or music composition nor improve the quality of the creation, and I firmly believe that it should.
I selected the Depressed characteristic for one of my musician zois and one painter. The “Tortured Artist” isn’t a cliche—much of the most impactful and meaningful art and music comes from a place of sorrow, loss, and/or longing.
Right now, being sad has no benefit at all, and the game just helps you reduce the duration of the sad emotion by doing preferred activities, which I think that’s a good thing! I don’t wish for it to change. When we want a zoi to feel better, we need ways to make it happen.
However, I think there should be an up-side to all emotional states other than “Fine” because that’s how it works in real life.
Please make it that the sad emotion improves the skill-gain in creative arts OR any painting or music composition that is started during the sad emotion will automatically be Perfect quality, earning the most mew. I think the latter is most realistic, but skill-gain increases are established with other moods. Either would be great!
