Unable to provide save file (playing on GeForce Now)
Details:
Festival decorations are visible in ‘social events’ section of build mode, in build studio. They cannot be found in the same section in build mode, on home lot or business, when playing the game.
I just checked in my game and can confirm, that the xmas build mode stuff isn’t automatically available in build mode.
This might be due to the former event time restriction though. In my save file, one zoi in my household had a few presents in his inventory. Opening them made the xmas decorations and everything else available in-game too.
I am not aware if (now that the calendar system is implemented) every household has received these presents automatically or if players are supposed to buy those for build mode somewhere during the in-game xmas event
Did you check for any of those presents in your zois’ inventories?
Same here, just checked in my game. Don’t think you can purchase these at the booths. Just lately I was at the christmas booths and did not saw such an option.
To be honest this is really a bad way to handle it in case it should be intended. I unlocked all the items for both events back then but of course not with each of my save games and why should later created save games suffer from that. It makes no sense at all.
Really hope this is simply a bug and will be fixed…
I can’t check the Xmas festival booth at this exact moment but I was able to in my previous save. I did also notice that I can’t see the cookie boxes in pocketMarket either, which I could in my previous save as well.
At this point they really need to just unlock all the festival decorations in-game, regardless of the season. It was already annoying enough having to do it for every save back when the events lasted an entire real-life month. Now they last for 1 in-game day, and we’re supposed to unlock everything all over again? What is the point of this? It’s nothing except an annoyance.
When the Xmas event was going on there were 3 booths we could buy things from.
One booth had candy.
One booth had recipes.
One booth had presents.
Currently only 2 booths get enabled at every festival, and none of them have the presents. I noticed this when the calendar was released. They removed one of the booths that was supposed to give you the gifts.
