# In the 0.8.0 update, the lights in the house remain on when Zoi falls asleep and do not automatically turn off.

This issue is so annoying. I’ve been playing in this save for 3 weeks and had no issues with the lights not going out when all zois were asleep. Then I bulldozed the lot and dropped a new house for them and now the lights stay on while sleeping.

You should add the light name you have that do not turn off.  
I noticed it’s affecting certain lights and not others.  
This would help the dev team fixing the ones that don’t turn off.

Hmm, interesting. In this house, there’s the “Modern Round Ceiling Light”, “Flower Ceiling Fan”, “Modern Wall Lighting” that don’t turn off.

I typically use the Modern Round Ceiling Light and it turns off just fine in my other save. However, I kept one light from the previous lot before replacing it. The “Umbrella Shaped Table Lamp”, and it is the only light that turns off when everyone sleeps in this new lot.

The round ceiling light had issues in my old house.  
In my new one I have lots of “Rattan Sunset Lighting” ceiling lights and they all turn off no issue.  
the “Small built-in ceiling lighting” also turn off at night.

It really depends on light type, and it makes sense as certain outside light you’d want to stay on.  
I guess ideally we could click each light source and select “stay on at night”, and if we do not, then it should turn off BY DEFAULT.

This allows all light to go off, but also for us to setup permanent ON light sources  
It would make house design even better.
