    I’m reporting two major issues after the April update. I’m playing on a 2024 PC (Intel Core, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12gb VRAM) and the game has become visually broken:
    Black Buildings (Non-Lumen Lighting Bug): Many decorative buildings appear as solid black silhouettes. Since my graphics card cannot enable Lumen, it seems the fallback lighting system (the one used when Lumen is off) is broken for background assets/LODs. The developers need to fix how the game calculates light for these buildings when Lumen is disabled, as they currently receive no light/textures at all.
    Corrupted Job Tasks: My Zois are getting the wrong career tasks. My Idol is assigned Office Clerk tasks, which makes no sense and breaks the game progression.
    I have already tried setting everything to Ultra and clearing the cache, but the buildings remain black. Please, fix the lighting calculation for non-Lumen users! (IT HAPPENS IN BLISS BAY TOO)

My problem still there. I tried everything to fix it but nothing happens

Update: After clearing shaders, I saw the plants and buildings correctly for exactly one second when the game opened. Then, the game froze for two seconds, and everything turned black/glitched again. This proves the assets are fine, but the real-time rendering/lighting engine is breaking them.

Due to the massive UE5 upgrade during inZOI update v0.8.0, the game has changed a lot of the rendering paths and processes from what I’ve tested for my guide: inZOI – Graphics & Performance Guide (revised after update v0.8.2) → Please take a look at it and change some of your in-game settings. Afterwards, let us know if it solved the problem or if anything maybe even got worse? :thinking:

I have managed to enable Lumen through some tweaks, followed all the technical instructions provided, and updated the PSO cache.

The results are mixed:

  • Fixed: The indoor plants (like the Canvas ones) that previously showed white squares or geometry glitches are now rendering correctly.

  • Persistent Issue: Despite these fixes, the background decorative buildings are still pitch black.

This confirms that while the PSO update fixed individual assets, the lighting bug for background LODs in the April update remains broken for my setup (RTX 3060). It seems to be a specific issue with how the world renders distant structures in this version.

Please, we need a hotfix for the background building textures

Sorry to be so annoying, but it's as if ''the map'' only loads ''certain buildings'' and not others, as if it were the texture itself of specific buildings that is broken. I'm done, sorry, thank you very much for everything! I have found in screenshots from other posts about different problems that black buildings also appeared there (it's as if people hadn't noticed much either).

I hope the developers will fix this Bug before the release of version v1,0,0. We need to be patient
