I haven’t spent a lot of time in CAZ so I genuinely might just not know how to use the sliders well but I’ve recently been trying to make zois.
I was particularly inspired by an image I found on pinterest of a beautiful woman with a prominant roman (aquiline) nose, but CAZ doesn’t seem to allow me to create this feature on a female zoi. I can make a nose very similar to what I’d like to see on a male zoi but as soon as I change the zoi from male to female, the nose completely changes its shape and I cannot achieve the same look, no matter how much I move the sliders…
There are two problems, as far as I can tell… there is too great a difference between the female and male version of the same zoi but also, the female sliders do not allow enough range and diversity in facial features.
Is it just me???
I think the character creation sliders are very limited overall. Regardless of whether it’s a female or male character. It’s just that they try to preserve a certain “natural elegance” for female faces, so the nose is always thinner with a sharper tip, for example. And this hump thing apparently falls into that category too.
For me, all the faces are too fat and have too high a forehead. I narrow the face to the minimum - and yet it’s still quite round. And the skull is too large, the head size is also poorly adjustable.
All that’s left is to hope that CAZ will be redesigned once more before the final game release. I’d like more flexibility, of course
It’s funny you mention that. I’ve tried making round faces a few times and found it frustrating that you can only change the width of the top of the head or the cheekbones/jaw. So you can’t make a round face with soft features. And your right, you need to be able to make the forehead smaller.
Some presets have more range in what you can create. I recommend looking for a face preset that has something like what you want.
If you really cannot find a female face with the nose type you like, you might be able to achieve the look by finding a male face with it, and then switch the gender to female. Then craft her face to be more feminine with the stronger features you can keep to some extent.
You can change the width of a zoi’s head in the basic edit mode to make a rounder or more narrow face. You can also raise or lower the height of the face.
But YES, we need a bit more range. I appreciate that some face presets have features that others do not, but sometimes we need just a little bit more. I just thought I’d leave my best tips for the issues mentioned here.
Oh! That’s interesting. I’ll give that a try. Thank you!!
