This has been a bug for a very, very long time now… I presume it’s not getting complained a lot about is because we like looking at thin/fit people, I get it.
However, this should really get fixed. Maybe not as bad as it was before the bug happened (where everyone became fat in a few days), but something in between?

Heck maybe a “Calories” slider in the town setting that influences how much effort it takes to remain thin. Putting this one all the way to the maximum would make it very hard.

But even without going into the realm of suggestions, it needs to be fixed.
Thank you for addressing !

Personally I wish body shapes would not change at all (I don’t want that realism) because every zoi I create needs the exact body shape I gave them to fit their vibe.

This bug is really, really bad and immersion breaking. I strongly agree that it must be fixed.

I love the idea of sliders for low, medium and high calorie food that can be used in game. I actually have made a mod that tweaks the calories and it makes the weight system a lot better for all Zois or so it seems.

This is my thread about it, which shows the values I edited in order to achieve a better, more balanced fitness system.

> [@Weight gain and loss is currently unbalanced. Please implement these changes to the fitness system.](https://forum.playinzoi.com/t/topic/12466):
>
> The Fitness system NEEDS an overhaul. I propose that these values should be used in the game’s official code instead of just mods so that weight is gained and lost more evenly. Calories Bound: 590 Max Delta Obesity: 15 For the Calorie Map: Keep zero calorie food as 0. Low calorie food should be 600 in value. Low calorie food should be 700 in value. Low calorie food should be 800 in value. For the Exercise Calorie Value Map. Keep zero exercise as 0. Easy exercise should be 50 in value. …

Yes, we’ve talked about this before. This is really a mistake or a flaw on the part of the developers. In fact, it’s much easier to gain weight than not to change it. And now InZoi is completely absurd: it’s the other way around.

I’m very irritated by this bug. My Sims are becoming excessively thin, losing weight every day, even though they’re not exercising or on a diet. I have to use cheats for the character editor to restore their previous weight.

Does not seem to be fixed in the Early 0.9.0 build.
But we’ll know when the live version comes around in 1 hour.

Is it just in my game? But I’ve noticed that zois I’ve made on the heavier side have all slimmed down without working out.

It’s definitely not in your game only. It’s a bug that has been around for a while. Since you’re experiencing it, please go to [the original bug post](https://forum.playinzoi.com/t/topic/12913/5) and make a comment. Engagement helps devs see our posts and add the issues that get reported to the known list to work on them properly.

Hopefully we get this one fixed soon!

Most ppl do not care about this one as they want their Zois to remain thin.😆

I wouldn’t say “most” because that’s being subjective as a whole, and we all like to play in our own ways. By fixing the weight gain/loss bug it only adds more depth to the life sim. 😆For variety and versatility, I hope they do fix it.

Good idea. Here it is:

And this is precisely what I did in the mod, to quote my other thread:

Calories Bound: 590

Max Delta Obesity: 15

For the Calorie Map:

Keep zero calorie food as 0.

Low calorie food should be 600 in value.

Low calorie food should be 700 in value.

Low calorie food should be 800 in value.

For the Exercise Calorie Value Map.

Keep zero exercise as 0.

Easy exercise should be 50 in value.

Moderate exercise should be 450 in value.

Hard exercise should be 655 in value.

Intense exercise should be 750 in value.

Extreme exercise should be 900 in value.

Maximal exercise should be 1100 in value.
