Hi, this isn’t a bug, it works this way, even though we’ve already expressed the desire for it to be changed. With each installment you only pay the interest portion, but not the principal portion, which can only be paid in full.
Oh, so you want to say that the 45,093/45,543 MEW is the portion of the ENTIRE loan, and the 450 MEW is just the interest rate percentage?
Well, I’m asking, because in real life, it doesn’t matter if you pay only the interest rate, or a portion of it, it should lowed the debt.
And my debt was NOT lowering, it was jumping between two values constantly.
I finally paid it in full, but this is still weird and shouldn’t work this way. I’ll mark it as solved, since @mialuce66 said it was already flagged to the inZOI team.
In real life, a mortgage payment is made up of a part of interest and a part of capital. So every month the debt decreases a bit, since you’re also repaying the capital. Furthermore, by repaying part of the capital, the interest decreases.
In Inzoi, on the other hand, you only repay the interest and never the capital, unless you pay it all back.
Maybe I’ll bring this up on Discord too.
