the weakest point of inzoi: the build mode. what's wrong with it

there are way WAY too many things wrong with the build mode, i really recommend the staff watch gameplay videos about it, that they see what issues players have when building, and also that they watch build mode gameplay from paralives and the sims to make comparisons because there are mechanics that need a revision. (it’s not enough to play with them, you should actually see how people build with them)

examples:

• when we stretch walls it shouldn’t create a second wall in the middle, it should work like in the sims where the furniture, roof and wallpaper follow that wall

• the option with the little arrows to move the entire wall (not stretch it) is extremely useless and causes more confusion than anything else

• roofs SHOULD NOT clip through walls in case we put a roof next to a room.
i really recommend watching sims gameplay about roof placement to understand what techniques people use with them

• in the sims you can place a roof and then build a room on top of it and the roof doesn’t disappear or clip through the room, instead it stays like a corner roof for the floor below

• i’ve read several builders asking for corner roofs

• once you place a counter, the counter should stay selected on the cursor. same for objects you place many times, (roof counters, bushes, trees, rocks, windows, chairs, etc)

• it should be possible to put windows on the side walls of roofs

• railings should connect to stair railings, and also to posts

• when we click on an object it should stay selected in blue, a lot of players don’t know that you can move objects with just one click and they end up using the arrow tool first to move them

• the visible guides for sinks on counters, chairs and computers are extremely useless and annoying, having them snap is enough

• this was great in sims 3 and 2: when we placed counters and put a normal one in a corner it would automatically turn into a corner counter, we didn’t have to go look for it in the catalog

• the keyboard guide that follows the cursor is extremely annoying, it should be moved to the bottom right corner

• the little UI that pops out of objects could be moved and fixed to the right side like in paralives so it doesn’t get in the way, or create a retractable UI with all these features plus the color and texture wheel

• the UI textures for recoloring look too small, it’s hard to find one when you’re looking for it

• the little square with the “+” that saves color presets (right next to the color wheel) is so light it’s practically invisible, people don’t even see it

• the preview for objects in decorate mode could appear on the side instead of blocking our view of the catalog

• it would be more intuitive if the catalog was organized by price from lowest to highest by default

• painting walls and floors should have its own separate section within build mode just like the sims and paralives do. when i want to put exterior floors it’s a headache for this exact reason.

• painting floors tile by tile (when i don’t want to paint the whole room) is a headache, it would be more convenient to be able to click one tile and drag the color with the mouse up to the limit i want to paint

and i could give thousands more examples.

please developers, watch build mode gameplay videos. it’s really hard to put feedback about this into text and have it be understood, that’s why no one does it
