  • Details: There is a bug with the footstep sound effects. Footstep sounds do not play when walking on the second floor or any higher floors. They only work correctly on the ground level (first floor). Please look into this issue. Thank you and love !

I’ve been having this issue for a month. It’s ridiculous that it hasn’t been fixed yet.

+1, I just ran into this problem yesterday

  • Game Version:latest

  • Platform: (Steam windows / Steam Mac / Mac)Steam windows

  • Mods: (Choose one: never used / removed / active)used before and i deleted them after this
:round_pushpin:If you have used mods before, please list them:

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…):

  • windows 11 24H2

  • Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 9 275HX - RAM:32 GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU - VRAM:16 GB

  • Issue Date:2026 September 1th

  • Error Message:none

  • Details:Starting September 1st, the sound of footsteps disappeared, both at home and in other buildings. Even with all mods disabled, there’s still no sound, but if I roll back to the previous version(2026-04-29), the footsteps come back.
  • Current situation: You can only hear footsteps when walking on the first floor or on the carpet, and then at the Dowon Highlands Building you can hear the sound of stepping on the lawn, probably because the foundation of this property is grass. In other places, the floor is like empty space, making no sound when stepped on.

please fix it soonly. This really breaks the immersion, and i see not only me met this problem

Hi Garfielddddd_0001

I’ll merge your bug report into the main post since it’s the same issue. Thank you for reporting it!
