How can I stop this from popping up every time I open inZOI?

    :round_pushpin: For some reason I received Automatic MODs, I didn’t download but the game wants me to have them for reasons unknown, most of these installed what I clicked the button, this Mod is broken or whatever and fails to install, so I turned MODs OFF and yet this still pops up to get me to try to install it every time I open the game, and the worst part is that it’s a MOD that I don’t even want, but if installing it would stop it from popping up I’d install it to get rid of the annoyance, but it won’t stop, PLEASE TAKE THIS OUT OF MY GAME SOON.

Simply turning off mods isn’t enough. You’ll need to delete the mods folder as well to fully remove them.

Hmm do I delete the whole folder?.. there’s a lot of folders in it with weird numbers for names

I assume this is currently the only way to find a specific mod in the Mods folder.

The mods are stored in subfolders that only have numbers as their names, so you cannot tell from the outside which mod each folder contains. You have to open the numbered folders one by one—the actual name of the mod is only shown inside.

I just want to know is it safe to delete the whole folder, I’ll attempt to check out some Mods after the games final release, I downloaded a few from the in-game MOD’s section only to find out they’re junk and somehow I ended up with a lot more than I downloaded after a game update months ago, so my only question is can I delete the folder C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\inZOI\Mods and the game still works or do I need to find other MODs in AppData or Programs x64 or anywhere else on my pc?

This is how I would personally do it:

  1. With the game closed, copy the entire Documents\inZOI\Mods folder to another location as a backup.

  2. Start inZOI and open the installed Mods list.

  3. Click All to select every mod.

  4. Choose Delete rather than Disable.

  5. Close the game completely.

  6. Check the Mods folder for any leftover files or numbered folders and remove them if necessary.

  7. Restart the game and make sure the Mods list is empty and everything works normally.

Since you only installed mods through the in-game Mods section, I don’t think you need to search AppData or Program Files for additional mod files.

It worked that ended the popup, the mods folder still has 51 folders with the weird number names but they are empty, it’s working so I guess these useless folders can stay. Thanks Sephrenia :slight_smile:

Thanks, it is still a bug because this is an in-game Mod that fails to update, why is there in-game mods that fail, if they’re in the game’s selection they should work guaranteed, but at this point seeing that bugs live forever I suppose it doesn’t mater if it’s in Bug Reports or Q&A lol
