It seems like this is a beaten horse, but my situation is a little different. I know how to create ceilings by using the room selection tool and all, but I have a 3rd floor exterior roof made of half walls that I need a ceiling for (I want wood paneling underneath), but I don’t want to enclose walls to form it because it creates a floor on the second floor exterior where I don’t want one. Is there any way to work around creating a ceiling without having a room built for it?
I’ve been able to build the walls, delete them and it keeps the ceiling because the floor is still there, but I don’t want the floor with how far the roof stretches. I’ve also tried the fence option as well. I can delete the floor, but as soon as I unenclose the area, the ceiling goes with it and it’s killing the whole build because the look of this build is emphasized by the overhang roof with a wood ceiling.

I remember having done something like this in one of my Dowon creations but that was months ago and I am getting a bit rusty.
The issue is that it leaves the walls up, and I want it to be a free ceiling with no walls around it so that you can have the ceiling overhang the rest of the front of the house. It would just leave the second floor portion with floating walls. I don’t think there’s a work around on this kind of design.
Ah yes I see… What about glass walls…
No wait, I think we only have glass ceilings.

If it cannot be done then you should definitely suggest what is missing.
Hopefully when they give build mode some attention back, that’s the kind of improvements that could be good !
