**Hey fellow Zois!** 💻📸 ❤️‍🔥 **Remember to Like this post so the devs can see this and hopefully make it happen.** It’s been a while since I’ve been around these inspiring forums, so let’s talk about something I have been experiencing myself in-game and as a laptop user myself, reflecting on how inZOI it’s shaping to be unique and going for that realism. With that said, I think we can all agree on one thing: our characters need to learn **how to relax with their tech!** ![2026-09-19-18-55-06](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/krafton/original/3X/3/3/33661f95ff65909dc88384ac11ced781fde04b9f.jpeg) ![CleanShot 2026-09-19 at 6.57.02 PM](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/krafton/original/3X/d/e/decce1e07d7c0247fa554d5e64364317e93245db.jpeg) Right now, the laptop interaction feels a **bit stiff.** It’s a little immersion-breaking when they just stand in the middle of the room holding a laptop **awkwardly with one hand.** To show what we’re missing, I put together a visual mockup of how most of us _actually_ use our laptops in the real world—propped up in bed, resting comfortably on a pillow. Doesn’t that instantly make the room feel so much cozier and more alive? ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/krafton/original/3X/1/9/19c2c0a5bcac998bb421df884978733e8a2a9817.jpeg) **📸 The Photo Mode Problem** While we’re on the subject of holding items, we really need to ask the devs to **remove the restriction on taking photos while holding objects.** Currently, if your Zoi has something in their hands, the camera is completely **locked.** This means we’re missing out on capturing some of the most authentic **slice-of-life moments!** We should be able to snap photos of them drinking their morning coffee, reading a book, or typing away in bed. To take the realism to the next level, here are a few other everyday laptop poses I’d love to see added: - 🛋 The Couch Potato: Sitting back on the sofa with the laptop balanced on their knees, occasionally glancing up at the TV. - 🧸 The Floor Lounger: Lying flat on their stomach on a fluffy living room rug, kicking their feet up in the air while browsing. - 🧘 The Cross-Legged Casual: Sitting cross-legged right on the floor or on top of the bed covers while gaming or studying. - ☕ The Kitchen Scroller: Leaning casually against the kitchen island, scrolling with one hand while holding a snack or coffee in the other. Having these natural, everyday postures—and the absolute freedom to photograph them—would make the simulation feel incredibly lifelike. **What do you all think? Would you use these poses? And what other everyday habits or photo mode tweaks are on your wishlist? I especially support the issue of photo mode. It’s designed in such a way that in a single-player household, we as players have a very difficult time taking commemorative photos of our Zoi. It’s not supposed to be a selfie of our Zoi, but a keepsake for the player. It’s a completely different photo than using print screen. In families too, it sometimes takes a lot of time to find that one Zoi who is doing nothing at the moment so you can use it to take a photo. ---

Yes, photography with objects in hands for some reason is still impossible, even though this situation has been going on for over a year now. Why this issue hasn’t been resolved yet is a mystery to me. That’s why I almost never use the in-game camera, preferring to hide the interface and use Win+PrtScr instead. As for improving posing — here’s my long-standing post on the subject: [[04.02.26] Возможность вручную ставить Zoi в любую позу](https://forum.playinzoi.com/t/topic/11374) This (plus the ability to move objects and characters around, like with the “moveobjects on” code in The Sims) would solve absolutely any posing problems at once. Simply because no additional preset poses would be needed — no need to create a million extra lists like “left hand fingers in a V, right hand fingers in a ‘horns’ gesture, head slightly to the left, and right leg extended to the side,” where any deviation of the head, leg, or arm would be considered a new pose that would need to be specially imported. We’d simply take our Zoi, move them to the floor, turn them onto their stomach, bend each body part as needed, place a laptop in front of them, choose a facial expression and gaze direction — and that’s it, the photo material is ready! Each pose for each player would be unique, not just a standard set of presets like it is now. But… So far, complete silence on this from the developers. ---

That is correct—a thorough update for Photo Mode is well overdue, hehe; I believe it requires greater freedom. ---

I support the idea with poses and a laptop. 👍 As for photo mode — we need freedom with objects and poses. And also, if there are people in a group, so we could photograph them together: as a family, as a company, or as couples. This is really missing, we have to catch every nice shot in real life. ❤ ---
