- **Details:**
Results in a weird and misleading error message which has no relevance to the normal “Save As” operation which was just succesfully executed:
📍 “Forcing the game to close may result in corrupted save data”
If the game was being force-closed, this message might make sense. However, it makes no sense at all for a completely normal close/save operation.

You might see this error if you have a deleted mod. This is not a bug. Do you understand now? Continue and you can play your game without any issues.

I appreciate your trying to answer the question, but it seems we are seeing different things. I understand that I can continue and play the game normally, this happens every time and there is no interruption of gameplay. It remains a misleading error message. Because I am not “forcing the game to close”, I am using the “Save As” menu option. The two things do not correlate in any way.

If you are saying that I have a deleted mod somewhere, then the error message should explain where, what is it’s name, who deleted it, when, what is missing? The error message needs to explain that clearly and give some guidance as to how to identify/locate the issue in question and to fix the problem. If there is even a problem.

I can continue to play the game normally so the only problem I see is the misleading error message. It’s like seeing a message which says “there was a problem”, and everything continuing as normal as if there was no problem really. So why print the error message? It makes no sense.

I hope I’m being clear here.

The deleted mod “you deleted” The game cannot magically explain which mod you deleted. This is a game. It’s not a magic machine. You can enter your game without any issues.

1. “Forcing the game to close may result in corrupted save data” —\> This is just a message to warn you. This is not an BUG.

This does not affect gameplay, I did not suggest this, and of course it’s not “magic”, whoever suggested that? It’s a computer game, and the computer is complaining about something. What is it complaining about? Surely the computer knows what it’s complaining about? Surely this information can go into the warning message?

You seem to know that this warning message means that “a mod has been deleted”. I don’t know how you know that, perhaps that’s where the magic you refer to comes from? Again, if the computer knows that a mod is missing, then it can print a message saying “Expected mod ‘MOD\_NAME’ is missing!” or even “The following expected mods are missing: list[mod\_1, mod\_2, mod\_3, …]”

It’s no more complicated than that.

The issue isn’t with the computer the game is flagging an error. The reason is either that your mod was updated, or you manually deleted a mod yourself. It is a computer game not a humanoid robot it cannot detect every single error. In any case you can enter the game without any issues this error does not prevent you from doing so. I get this error too when i install and remove mods. But i don’t always start a thread here to complain that it’s a error. 🙂

I give up trying to make someone understand what a simple error message is supposed to do. May the force be with you, and feel free to have the last word 😉
