Couple made married in CAZ can't hug

  • Steps to Reproduce: Start a “New Game”, make two young adult zois, set their relationship to being married, start the game; have the two interact and check their relationship levels.

    There was no error message. It was strange because I have made married couples in CAZ before without issues. I was using custom textures but no mods in all cases. I have recently added mods but stopped playing the couple that had this issue and am avoiding making couples married.

The married couples I would make before started out with some romance already and had many options to flirt with each other.
Then I started a new game and made two young adult zois, one female and one male, both made by me. I then changed their relationship to be married, and then entered the game, gave them a place to live in Dowon, and began playing. When I went to have them start a family, I noticed the only romantic option was to “Discuss having children”, and nothing else. I checked their relationships and everything was neutral. I had them socialize to bring the relationship levels up, and some more romantic options popped up like to take photos of each other or hold each other’s hands, but no matter what I did, they could not hug, kiss, or anything else, and even many options for single zois who are dating to do were not there. Yet, the game did seem to know they were married.

I am assuming this is a bug because it makes no sense, and did not happen in my previous four families that I made already married. But all of those families were in either Bliss Bay or Cahaya, and none of them in an apartment building. Not sure if that has anything to do with it? I will edit this to include which residential lot it was that I had this married couple who can’t hug move into. I have played single zois just fine in Dowon.

Have you checked in CAZ if they are interested in each others gender and in romantic relationships?

I have not, thank you I will check. I didn’t mess with that area, I guess I assumed there was a default that was straight and interested, my bad. hopefully it’s just something silly i overlooked like that.

Oh my g that was it, man I feel so stupid not thinking to check that and forgetting to set that for them lol. Apparently the female was set to “man” gender identity (not against that but I didn’t intend that), and was only attracted to females. I changed it and now they can do everything together…

Ah don’t be, you have no idea how often this happens (to me and others) ^^’

When you create a Zoi and change the gender of the preset Zoi that randomly shows up it keeps his gender.
I really think these crucial informations shouldn’t be hidden behind that small box no one ever notices -.-

Ahh, thank you, maybe they should make it more noticeable but I think with time I’ll get used to it and now probably remember to check if this happens again.
