Has anyone figured out how to accomplish this? My Zois are married and they share the highest romance affinity (Loving) and I can’t seem to find the option to “Confess Love” in any dialogue category. Both of them are “Seeking Romance” and are attracted to Female and Male respectively, did all the romantic interactions available (except trying for baby because that’s not yet in their cards right now. ). Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Maybe it’s because they are married and the game assumes they already confessed love? It’s possible a married couple has different interactions than unmarried lovers.
Oof, I was assuming the same thing. If that’s the case then this urge shouldn’t even be available. Too bad they married each other without me knowing (I was playing another family) so I must’ve missed out.
Exactly. There are still quite a few other urges that can’t be completed or their completion is buggy. Akaik it’s not even on the schedule to be fixed in the next two updates -.-
I so wish there were a way to stop things like this. At least a pop up if we agree with this decision the game makes. A marriage is still something special in a Zoi’s life.
Yes, I was very disappointed when my OG couple got married behind my back. I was hoping to bring in friends and the like to their wedding, but once again, they meddled with my narrative. I just keep telling myself it’s an early access game and there are a lot of areas to be improved.
Hopefully, the December update would address these issues and small (but equally important) nuances. Otherwise, I’d be forced to drop the game altogether since the basics I’m looking for in simulation games isn’t quite there yet.
Found the following in the latest patch notes . Might be too late for your couple but maybe it got fixed.

Urges
Urges now appear more contextually based on each Zoi’s age, relationships, situation, and traits. Over 140 new urges have been added, along with 120 reworked urges based on Zoi traits and characteristics.
This is it, I think. I’ve only ever seen this interaction on Zois who aren’t yet married.
We really need a way to disable ‘story progression’ for unplayed Zois the same way we can currently disable aging. That way we can play rotationally, Sims 2-style.
I agree that this urge should not have appeared, unless of course the married couple is cheating!!
Not all urges need to be fulfilled. You can choose to fulfill only certain urges and that way you can guide the values of the zoi, and thereby shape the personality.
I really hope this got fixed. I would think this is more on the coding side of things than fine-tuning what’s already in the game. While a lot has to be improved, I hope the more technical side which is the foundational coding gets addressed and fixed. I’m not a programmer or anything of that sort, but as I play it feels like there’s something else going on.
Now for the urges that is now more contextually based, this is a welcome improvement. The way I understood this aspect of the game is that it directly affects the Karma of the Zoi. If I don’t let them fulfill their urges (bc one, it won’t let me, and two it doesn’t make sense), they look utterly miserable.
I have yet to update my game though. Trying to delay it as much as I can in case they come up with another hotfix.
I’ve been saying this! While InZoi wants to be a little different than The Sims, this aspect throws me off, personally. I spend so much time building up the story, only to find the other actors of the play doing something else entirely and off-script. It is very annoying, I have to say. While some would suggest playing only one family/household to make my life easier, it could get very boring fast. Plus, imagine this… if your OG family starts to expand, and the kids branches off to have their own families, essentially you will be playing multiple households. This can get very problematic and chaotic for storytellers.
They already have this mechanic in place when a Zoi travels to another city: “When they leave, everything will be paused, and when they come back, it was as if no time has passed.” So I don’t think this idea of pausing one unit/household while playing another family is not entirely impossible.
