What do you think are the essentials for Base Game release?

There is this interview on Gamerbraves about a possible release date and that Krafton gets pushy already, I even think Kjun’s plan to release at the end of next year is a bit bold ö.ö

Quote

Kim sets realistic expectations for the game’s completion timeline.
“From the very beginning, I expected this to be a long process. I knew the game would stay in Early Access for quite a while. So even though I’m ambitious, I don’t think we’ll be able to fully release it by late next year, I believe it will still be in Early Access then. The company might not fully agree with that timeline, but that’s the way I see it.”

It should be enough to

  • draw new players in (which already worked well imo, see pics below abt sold copies, twich viewers and all-time-high player count)
  • keep existing players involved (doesn’t work very well imo, see player count and steam reviews below (Cahaya did much better than base game so they are on the right track imo)

and enough to increase/improve

  • the reactions of players who comment on steam
(makes interested players decide whether to give inZOI a/another try or not)

  • player count
(an indicator for interested players to give inZOI a chance)

  • what influencers/playtesters will say on social media
(who might be testing inZOI for the first time but many players base their decision to play a game or not on the influencer’s opinion)

    But how to achieve it?
All wishes for future DLCs aside:

What do you think should be the :backhand_index_pointing_right: core essentials :backhand_index_pointing_left: for inZOI’s Base Game release?

I agree, the game isn’t ready. If they release it now, it will flop.

It’s best to take a look at what people liked about Cahaya and see how that can be reproduced in general gameplay. But I think the biggest thing that has been missing is character. The zois were like animated cardboard cutouts. This has been addressed during the October update, and I’m looking forward to the December update to see this developed further.

Things have improved a lot. I first played in May, very quickly got bored, then came back to the game at the end of July.

Since the Cahaya DLC I’ve been playing most days, but there are some days when I’ll upload some content to Canvas and shut my laptop down. inZOI is really nice for creating something when you don’t feel like playing the full game, and maybe that is something that should be highlighted.

Something else that isn’t helping is that influencers aren’t playing much. One YouTuber I watch live plays every Sunday. Another that I watch uploads maybe once a month. Another drops a video every few months. This is a big part of why Cayaha brought people in. We were watching people play, and we wanted to swim in the ocean, get a massage, and sell in the market. Once Cahaya was out, the videos dried up, people lost their enthusiasm and stopped playing.

inZOI needs to work on its own timeline. DOn’t worry about EA and leave Paralives to be Paralives. The biggest things for me, though, are that inZOI never becomes the Sims 5, and it reaches its potential.

Someone asked something similar on reddit and the answers are very interesting/enlightening.
You can find it → here

i was using reddit first like i do for other things but the inzoi community sucks there, i’m much happier that i signed up here. on reddit they want inzoi to become sims 4

I think on reddit it’s like on steam, there are many people who don’t even play inZOI and spread hate/troll. But this post was quite civilized and interesting to read.

I’m happy that this forum was created because, in the past, as soon as I opened the Steam community, I would immediately leave it after seeing strange gameplay suggestions. Although I’m not very active here, I try to keep up with important topics.

inzoi has a lot going for it so far, but most of it is really shallow.

There are some active jobs, but like firefighter—there are no fires to fight. Idol—there are no concerts or actual idol-related activities to do.

I can’t even collect items properly because other zois clean up and throw away my super rare turtle statue I found while diving.

inzoi has seasons, vehicles, boats, fishing, cooking, events, school, jobs, etc., but nothing is fleshed out at all. It’s all just there until you hit the point where there’s no more depth to anything. It’s a pretty great foundation.

Multitasking and bug fixes are what I’m looking forward to the most. I hope they don’t tie the Christmas update event with patches, because that was a horrible idea for Halloween. All they have to do to keep me playing is not ruin the open world (which is still on the table) and keep releasing patches regularly.
