This could be related to the wilting crops issue, because I have the hunch that there are weather effects happening ‘behind the scenes’ we are not aware of.
So that maybe there is a weather effect ‘skipped’ and we only get to see/deal with the aftermaths, such as the puddles or the wilted crops after a heatwave or storm.
It did not rain since my Zois moved to Cahaya, yet still there are puddles from time to time and the pavement/decks are wet (this happened also on that fateful day our crops withered)
Pic from our garden with puddles (even though it hadn’t rained) after replanting (after the wilting happened)
I’ve noticed the puddles in Cahaya in the early morning since the update. I thought at first that the ground was dirty until I realised it was water.

One morning or every morning? I only have them from time to time in my game
I haven’t really noticed to be honest. I know I got them when I loaded into my Cahaya game the first time after the October update.

Ah ok, but it also didn’t rain?
Did your crops also wilt or were there no problems in your garden(s)?
The crops didn’t wilt. I hadn’t played that save in a while, but I don’t think it can have been raining beforehand as it was in the middle of a days-long heatwave (which I also think is a bug). When I used the controlDisaster cheat to end the heatwave with a rainstorm, that caused the crops to wilt. Possibly the effects from previous natural disasters are being applied incorrectly?

There really could be something going wrong with the weather effects then.
I really hope this helps the devs to track the wilting crops issue down, it’s so much work to get the garden back to growing, only to see it wilting again

In my last serious game in Cahaya that lasted a total of ~120 days
After 3-4 weeks (so about 25-30days) the weather disappeared and it was always sunny.
No rain, no Thunderstorms, only a couple of very sparse heatwaves.
I chalked it up as a bug that would be fixed later, but did notice those puddles.
At the time crops did not wither and die out of nowhere tho.
i recently made a new save but i also noticed the lack of weather changes on both my old save and brand new one. i think i have about 2 weeks on in-game on my new save and the weather hasn’t changed at all, let alone any of the natural disasters showing up. i actually used cheats the other night just to change it. i dunno if its a bug but i used to see more varied weather more often and the occasional disaster like heatwave or flooding

You are right, it’s sunrise and there are the puddles again (and it still didn’t rain ever since we’ve arrived at Cahaya)
I started a new save in Cahaya and just noticed the same, no rain but puddles on the streets. In my case it was in the middle of the day 4 pm. So seems to be possibe at any time

You are right, in my game the puddles didn’t dry over the day.
It’s already early evening and 29°, they should have dired already (there was still no rain)
