Did a playtest today, here’s what I loved and what I think could be improved.
What I loved
- You can buy wooden framed glasses from the surf shop in Blissbay and this takes you into CAZ! Absolutely loved the realism of this feature and can’t wait for ownable retail stores and hair salons/barber shops to come to the game.
- That my zoi can write romance novels! He is a single university professor and this is his secret hobby
- The realism with texting. I met a woman, texted to say I enjoyed talking to her, then she came back and told me she did have the energy for it lol pretty much stopped my zoi in his tracks!
- Random drama around the city, people arguing, others chatting, a random teen hanging around midday who looked like they just skipped school. - come to think of it, as a university professor, I should have stopped to question her and told her to stay in school!
What could be improved
- Archway functionality - when an archway is placed in the home, you cannot click through to select objects you can see on the other side, you have to move the camera past the archway to then click objects
- Front and back door routing - My zoi routed through the front door on the opposite side of the house when going to use the grill which was down a few steps from the back door that was right next to them. (though I think routing is already being worked on)
- Beers & wine - PLEASE can we have at least beers and wine in the game. I met a group of guys and decided to invite them over for a bbq and some beers, this was not possible despite placing a bar down with bar stools.
- More Grill Options - the bbq grill only has the option to grill a steak as far as I know (my zoi was a level 5) - though the steak did look delicious! The zoi placed this in the closet on top of a wooden console table though and not on the dining table as expected.
- Shop vendors should stay put - When speaking to shop vendors, zois should stay on the opposite side of the counter and not just walk around the counter or have the vendor walk away from their position and grab a seat to have a chat.
- A neighbourhood feel - I placed a stunning suburban home in blissbay and just moved in but had no neighbours to visit or get to know which I feel could have added to the drama and realistic vibe of the game.
- Fish Together - the option to fish at the pier in blissbay with other people or at least one other person
- Night clubs should stay open until 4 or 5am - would be nice if this could vary between venues or days of the week. The DJ should also keep playing all night and not randomly stop to walk off or sit down. Clubs should also stay lively even when your zoi is not invited for a night out.
Lastly, I am not sure when this place appeared in blissbay but PLEASE can we eat here or have it eventually become an ownable restaurant because it is absolutely GORGEOUS, especially in the daytime with a view out toward the beach
