I looked through the settings but couldn’t find an option to turn it off.
I’m wondering if there is a way to disable it, and if not, I kindly request a quick fix.

As shown in the picture, a white circle appears on every interactable object or person. From what I found online, it seems to be called the interaction icon. Since I can simply click with the mouse to interact, having the icon appear on every interactable element feels a bit inconvenient.
This usually happens when you play with a controler.
At least from what I remember.
A content creator I watch on youtube used his controler for 2-3 episodes and we had those points and that “F” sometimes when he moved around.
Might be because of that, if not then no idea.
This has to be because you’re using a controller, like @Samuriko said. I have never seen this in my game anywhere, neither in any YT gameplay I watch. All of them are using keyboard though. This’d also explain the numerous small circles above the objects which I didn’t recognize from my own game.
This happened to me like two days ago, it had never happened before, it must be something new. I had the little circles and some kind of key with the “F” in it, like in other kind of games, when you need to press a certain key to perform an action. I don’t remember how I made it go away but I think it might have been by pressing the tab button. These was a surprise for me too; I thought it was a new feature I didn’t know about.
As I was just in game I tested it. Exactly like you said @anamoon63 : when you press TAB the icons appear and when you press TAB again they are gone. You can see the circles on the table and on the food there is a F like in the first screenshot from @jooeun02
Yes, this is exactly how it looked in my game. I just don’t remember what is the “F” key for, or what happened when I pressed F. I suppose it is to perform the action. In this pic it is on the food plate, so I suppose we press F to eat. Maybe it is some sort of accessibility option to use the keyboard instead of the mouse? I don’t know, but this wasn’t here before.
Wow, that’s definitely a new feature. Must’ve come with the October update or something. When you press TAB it even shows the whole new immersive controls on the left hand side. I’m quite intrigued by this tbh.
The devs should definitely add tutorials. It’s very difficult to discover new systems without knowing they even put some in or how to activate them.
