Using SKIP button for school results in perpetual spinning clock

  • Game Version:20251222.9464.W

  • Platform: Steam windows

  • Mods: never used

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…): Win 11 25H2, AMD Ryzen 7 5800 X, 16GB RAM

  • Steps to Reproduce:

    • I followed my teen to school. When she went in, I clicked SKIP to fast forward. It held on the spinning clock screen while events were happening in the background, such as my teen increasing skills (programming, cooking, etc) and spending money.
    • I saved and went back to the Lobby to reload the game, but the SKIP pop-up window didn’t go away. I pressed SKIP again and the same events occurred as above.
    • I exited the game and had Steam verify my game files. I relaunched the game, but the SKIP button still persists.
  • Please provide the entire save file(s) from the date when the issue occurred.
    Will send privately.

  • Details:

    • This occurred the first time playing after the DEC update.
    • NOTE: my teen lives on her own. No parents.

  • Platform: Steam windows

  • Mods: removed/disabled atm

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System:
    OS Version: Windows 11 22631.6060
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX
    GPU: RTX 4080 Mobile
    RAM: 32 GB DDR5
    Storage: NVMe 2TB

  • Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Load the save with update v.0.5.x when Zois are at school.

  2. Select
    a. Leave Early
    b. Skip

  • Details:

a. Zois will never spawn in the world, and the school event will never end. Emergency Rescue will not help either, since Zoi Actors don’t exist in the world.

b. The Skip window overlay will never disappear, but the game will continue, as evidenced by all pop-ups, hints, sounds, and so on.

The only option is to start a new game.

Hello @GDfromRivendell ,

Since your post is about the same “Using SKIP button for school results in perpetual spinning clock.” issue, I’ve gone ahead and merged it with the existing thread. Thanks so much for understanding!

I had the same issue and might have found a possible fix for this.

While its not the best, it beats starting a completely new game.
I put my stuck in school and invisible child inzoi to another household through edit city, after the zoi aged up i tried to invite them over and I could see them again.

Probably, she would have re-appeared after aging up even in my household, but I cannot say for sure, i was happy to have her back and not willing to try my luck again.

I am not sure, if changing the age on edit zoi by cheats would also fix the issue, but worth a try if you are willing
