At the moment, the texture is anchored to the coordinate point of the world, and not to the object (wall). If you want to create a billboard from a texture on the wall, then this may not work (see the example in the screenshot below). Give us the opportunity to attach textures to the wall. When moving a house from Build Studio to cities, the texture should remain anchored to the wall, not to the world. The finished house(S2) taken from the Canvas loses the texture position on the wall when placed in another location (S3). Even a slight offset (1 cell) spoils the view. You need a “pin/unpin” button.
My example. It is impossible to fix the texture position for a high wall, the slider scale is missing.

I’ve been also struggling a lot with this and I really hope this gets fixed

It’s unfortunate that this issue doesn’t attract more attention from other players. Maybe they haven’t encountered this problem yet.

Very unfortunate, as almost anything that has to do with build mode.
Builders are a minority that often gets ignored since other stuff, more players want (or they think what more players want), is prioritized.

I haven’t played enough to see this, I have put textures on walls and they worked, but I haven’t saved the builds to place on other lots.

This is a very unpleasant feature. I doubt it will ever be changed. It works especially poorly on large walls. Apparently, few builders use walls as billboards. That’s why this issue hasn’t attracted attention.

As creative as I am I will most likely use at least one wall for a billboard but that will be on a commercial lot with no plans to move to another lot

What about saved builds put back on the same lot, are those affected too?
Any movement along the coordinate axes — even by a single cell — breaks (shifts) the attached texture. This is very noticeable on large walls. On small ones, there is a slight error.

I will write a comment with consent in order for this problem to rise to the top. This is a really big problem.
