Medical birth only counting carrier as family

I got consent from the other parent, but the baby only has one parent (the carrier) in the family tree and it looks like they might be a clone of the carrier. PLEASE FIX THIS. I swear this has happened to me twice.

Yes, this has happened to me twice too (back in April). It’s really annoying.

I also have two families like that. Since my two Sims couldn’t give birth because of the bug that had occurred, not even with cheats, I had canceled the pregnancies and had the babies with medical help, but only the mothers, who performed the procedure on the PC, appear to be parents, while the father roommates, even though I had selected them in the option.

I can confirm that. I made a couple with 2 ladies (they were not married) then had one do the medical procedure

One of the 2 ladies is seen as mother, the other is roommate only. The mother one moved away shortly after and left the “roommate” one as the child’s only caretaker (gotta love dramma!)

Would be nice if it was taken into account with the titles (mom/dad/etc)
Since I do not use the computer thing often, I only noticed this once in 0.4.0 era.

Come to think of it, neither of my couples were married either. I’m going to see if them not being married is the issue as soon as I can. Regardless, it needs a fix.

UPDATE: So far from what I’ve gathered, opposite gender couples married or not work fine now. Same gender couples who are unmarried only show one parent. However, married same gender couples DO work!

So, we need a fix for unmarried same gender couples.
