Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time now and want to share it with you and the official inZOI team members since it’s bugging me lately.
We all know that the forum community is growing daily and this leads to so much more support in terms of finding bugs, helping with technical issues, looking for workarounds and verbally organizing threads.
When Q1 of 2026 started, we also finally understood how to gain the infamous duck icons (golden, feathered, rubber) → a “reward” for actively participating here. That’s a great mechanic but I think the devs could use this way more efficiently.
Suggestions: (sorted from very important to less important)
Give ALL Duck members the permission to merge and separate threads to make organizing posts easier (since almost 24/7 some Duck members are online) → this would take a lot of pressure away from your team and helps to provide real visibility within minutes / hours
Give ALL Forum members the permission to delete their own threads → it gets really crowded and especially for new users the forum can be overwhelming at first + only “closing a thread” makes it stay in the forum and clutters everything which isn’t helpful at all
Solved + Closed Threads should automatically be moved to the bottom of each category → we urgently need to declutter!
Give Golden Duck members the ability to pin important threads at least in some categories → we’ve experienced that some guides (e.g. steam verification of files & crash guide) have been removed from the top of the categories even though they’re much needed for many bug reports and technical issues
These are the most important ones that came to my mind. Guys, please post your ideas below, so we can work out more improvements.
I would change Wishlist.
There are many posts with ideas and they dissapear (by getting down) with time when new and new are added. Sometimes somebody digging them out again by commenting then new ones are hidden etc etc etc endlessly.
Developers will see some of them then…hard to read all with all comments. It takes too much time! Especially when they keep changing place. SO here is my idea:
It doesn’t look like any of my five Wishlist ideas are going to make it into the game, I’m thinking Wishlist is literally just a wish except for some chosen whitelist players, which is a shame because if my Wishlish ideas was put into the game I’d be able to talk my cousins into buying inZOI after multiplayer comes out and then some of their friends would buy it too, but beings the game says “being made with the players” and not including all players, I am unable to talk them into it, they only play games that they play are truly honest with excellent customer support like WorldOfWarcraft, I only asked for five Wishlist ideas and even my bug reports appear to be ignored.
Just because a post isn’t mentioned or replied to, Kjun might mention something about your idea weeks later. My example is that I wrote in the Wishlist (and Discord) that I wanted us to be able to create our own NPCs. I’m sure other people mentioned it as well.
After some time passed, we got the update where we have to give our zois identities before we can save them in CAZ, and then Kjun mentioned it in a post that “some people want to create their own NPCs.”
P.S. Posting on Discord on the day that Kjun’s brainstorming topics are posted is also advisable for getting your ideas noticed.
I’m not posting on Discord, first reason is I went on the Discord and it was constant chat, I don’t want to hang out and just chat, second reason is why does the Forum exist, so in my opinion the Discord shouldn’t be any greater than the Forum, I surely hope the devs can hear me from here.
I agree. The point is the added support of the other members. It’s only effective to post on the new Kjun brainstorming threads when they’re fresh, and you can ignore chatting.
If your idea isn’t picked up on by Kjun at first, or it seems not that popular, but other players who read your post might post about it later, and then it gets a little bit more attention, and so on. Eventually, more people are asking for the same thing and then it’s definitely more likely to be considered (at the very least).
