I believe the rejection rate percentage when trying to get InZois through the romance stages; SweetHeart, True Lover, Confess Love stages is way to high, making it difficult to get InZois together. Weither they’re the same age group or age gap generation.
This is happening to me, but between an adult and an elderly person. They had started a relationship when they were both adults, but he aged first. Interactions like “creating the atmosphere” are possible, but their relationship level doesn’t go beyond “Mutual Interest”.
She once expressed the intention “I want to get closer”, and above the elderly man a message appeared saying something like “The age difference between us is too much”.

This restriction needs to be removed ASAP !
In one of my long running old game, a senior lost his wife and I created for him a young adult wife and married her to him. They’ve had 7 wonderful years together and 3 kids (tho the third one will never know his dad). Would not had been possible with the new restriction.
As said, they need to remove those restriction ASAP.

What do they even think by restricting - and judging - who our Zois can love and who not? (as long as it’s legal)
Why are they forcing their standards on us in a sandbox game when it comes to all kind of romance and freedom, when it comes to use a bathroom together and not wanting to bathe with a towel?
While all kind of (irl illegal) violence (like hitting babies with the fist on their heads and running over children with a car) and crime is totally fine for them 
It was still possible in v0.3.0 and maybe even later. Very suspicious. Honestly, if they added this restriction deliberately, which I haven’t come across in my gameplay so far, they have to remove it asap. I can’t really believe it though.
They were quite conservative in the early launch days, mainly due to Korean lifestyle, but it got way better along the way. I assume this is some kind of bug related to pre-teen to teen evolution (adding the romance options).
Maybe to assure players wary of multiplayer no creepy old men can hit on ‘young’ girls 
Okay. After loading the game up today and tested it out. The two age group InZois were able to get past the sweetheart stage and was able to confess love. Not sure if restarting the game fix ed the issue though… but It took quite a lot of spamming the same romance socials though to be successful this time around.
My cousin wanted an older man when she was 18 and she found one, my thought was he is just going to use her till she is older, but that was not the case at all, she is now 48 and they are still together, this was her choice, here in America we don’t have arranged marriages, we merry who ever we want as long as both are at least 18 years old.
So yes devs please fix this 
Thankfully, I already had my young adult + adult couple to True Love status before this change.
I think it’s almost realistic. It should depend on the zoi’s Values. One higher in Traditionalist than Challenger might want a partner in their own age group, while one with Challenger higher would be open to wide age differences. One who has Love as their top value should always want to advance the relationship if it’s possible. 
It was sad watching a video where my friend’s zoi couldn’t continue her relationship because of the age difference. 
Can get age gap generations zois together and marry.. Just have to keep at it by spamming the hell out of the romance socials.
The developers have the rejection percent set high. I was even having trouble trying to get two young adults pass the crush stage.
That’s good news then. I dont mind grinding them for a while… as long as it’s possible and not sub 20% chance (Which random number generator would make infernal)
I think I can confirm @Mysterious95’s solution. I have a YA Zoi who’s romantically linked with someone in his late middle-age stage. It took some time, if I remember correctly, but it isn’t technically restricted. Did you check whether their traits / personalities were compatible enough? (I use this table for it: Romantic compatibility (depending on the traits)) - This might help to make it easier / quicker, if you don’t want to graft too hard for a longer period of time.
I’m having the same issue. My senior and young adult Zois are struggling to form a strong romantic relationship. I’m having a hard time making them get to the point of proposing marriage to each other. I don’t care how realistic the new interaction it’s I just want my zois to be able to marry who I want them to marry. I want to be able to create my own stories not just what the devs seem to think it’s appropriate. I hope they reverted back to something similar to 3.0.
