This bug has been occurring for quite a while. Plants positioned too close to walls pass through them. A red error light should appear during placement, but instead it allows you to place them.
This is the correct position.
I can place it closer to the wall, but the leaves pass through it and are visible on the other side
Would be nice if any leaves entering the wall would disappear (not show up on the other side).
Same from trees outside coming inside the house thru walls and roofing.
Yes, I agree, yesterday I had found an excellent spot for a large tree in the garden, but the branches were entering the child’s bedroom on the second floor 
This also happens in The Sims; I think it may be because the plants are 3D planes or very lightweight, so I don’t think it has an easy solution. The plants in Inzoi are very beautiful and decorative, and I have a tiny house … what a shame.

There is a tree “next to lot” that is so big that the leaves were through my wall and forced me to make my small house too small.
Ultimately we need a way to edit everything in the world. 
I know this post was about the build mode plants and those should be fixed too
The trees that overlap properties is even worse because they can’t be deleted or moved at all
