Domestic Androids Inspired by Detroit: Become Human in Inzoi

Dear Inzoi Team,

I would like to present a detailed proposal for the introduction of domestic androids in Inzoi, directly inspired by the design and functionality of the models featured in Detroit: Become Human. These androids will have highly detailed human-like appearances, including both female and male models, each with unique characteristics, specific android uniforms, and a LED indicator on the side of the head, following the standard observed in Detroit: Become Human, which will display the android’s operational status and emotions.

Acquisition of the androids could occur either through direct delivery to the user’s virtual space or through a physical store within Inzoi, inspired by the stores in the Detroit: Become Human universe. In this store, users would be able to view androids on display, interact with them before purchase, learn about their functionalities and features, interact with NPC sales representatives providing detailed information about each model, and finally, purchase the android of their choice. Implementing this option will provide greater immersion and authenticity to the user experience within the platform.

This feature would be completely optional as a DLC, allowing players to purchase and use androids only if they choose, without affecting the main game experience.

The androids will have the same type of intelligence as Zois but with a higher learning capacity. This will allow them to perform a wide range of household tasks, such as cooking meals, cleaning the house, organizing rooms, doing laundry, caring for children, helping with homework, shopping for groceries, and maintaining a tidy and functional environment. Additionally, they can perform advanced skills such as singing, playing guitar or piano, programming, and other specialized tasks. All these skills will be developed 100%, taking advantage of access to information and research, ensuring efficient performance without requiring complex AI systems. To maintain functionality, the androids will need to recharge periodically and will automatically return to their charging devices when necessary, ensuring autonomy and organization within the user’s environment.

Users will be able to control the android directly in the same way they control Zois, determining their actions and movements, or allow them to operate autonomously, performing their functions independently.

Each purchased android will be unique, with pre-defined appearance, voice, and behavior for its model, without the possibility of customization, reinforcing the perception of a specific technological product. This functionality will provide greater realism, interaction, and engagement within Inzoi, bringing the experience closer to the futuristic and detailed aesthetic of Detroit: Become Human.

To better integrate this functionality into the game universe, I also suggest the creation of an exclusive technological city, separate from the other existing cities. This city would have its own identity, with futuristic architecture, services, and environments designed for interaction between Zois and androids. In this way, players who wish to explore a more advanced and technological experience could do so, while those who prefer a traditional lifestyle can maintain their regular cities without any changes.

For more information about the androids from Detroit: Become Human, a simple search will provide detailed visual and functional references.

Thank you for your attention, and I am available to provide additional information or discuss possible implementations that enhance the immersion and quality of this functionality.

Sincerely,

VitĂłria

Esto no encaja en el juego. SerĂa para un mod.

Hi VitĂłria!

Sorry for not replying in Spanish, it’s been too long since I’ve last wrote it but I just wanted to say it’s a great suggestion! However, Detroit: Become Human was a great game albeit it’s becoming too realistic due to the rise of AI and refined robots

It’s becoming more like a prediction instead of a dystopian view into the near future. I do believe adding androids into the game would be to resource-heavy but maybe the Pocket Market orders can be delivered with those little four-wheeled robots? That would be neat

Maybe it can be modded in? I don’t have gained any knowledge about the modding system in inZOI though:

Take care!

Hi Dave,

Thank you again for your reply and for considering my suggestion. I’d like to clarify that my idea doesn’t require extremely advanced AI or resource-heavy systems. The concept is simply to have androids function like a Zoi that players can control directly, just like a family member, or set to act automatically, performing household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, helping with schoolwork, or taking care of children.

This mechanic is not unprecedented, in The Sims 2: Open for Business (2006), Servos could act autonomously, performing tasks on their own, but players could also take direct control over them, just like controlling a member of the family. The goal is just to expand the existing Zoi mechanics to include domestic tasks while keeping it simple and manageable for the game.

I hope this clarifies my suggestion, and I truly appreciate your time and consideration.

Take care,

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your comment. I’d like to clarify that my suggestion isn’t intended as a mod, but rather as a potential DLC or official expansion. The concept is to have androids function like Zois that players can control directly, just like a family member, or set to act automatically. They would perform household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, helping with schoolwork, or taking care of children.

This wouldn’t require major changes to the game’s system, as it builds on the existing mechanics of the Zois. It’s about expanding current functionality in a manageable way, not adding completely separate or resource-heavy systems.

I hope this clarifies my suggestion. Thanks for taking the time to read it!

Take care,

Hey!! I love the idea personally. I honestly think it’s better suited as a mod, pack or dlc rather than base game, though, but hopefully it gets implemented somehow!

Hello,

What I am saying is that it does not fit the game, the game is based in the modern era, having andriods does not fit. This would be a good mod, but out of place in the main game. It just doesnt fit.

Hello Andrew, I understand your point, but I believe androids could work as optional DLC. In inZOI, players would not start with an android by default, it would be something you can buy only if you want to. This way it doesn’t break the modern setting of the main game, since it becomes an extra experience for those who choose to add it.

Hey!! Thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked the idea! Of course, it would definitely work as a DLC and not as part of the base game. I think it’s especially nice for players who love technology, since it gives them the choice to explore this side of gameplay without changing the main game for everyone. Hopefully they consider it one day! :sparkles:
