It would be so cool if there was an active supermarket! Where the zois could walk, buy and choose different products, such as food like meat, fish, vegetables, frutis, cereals, sweets etc, like a walmart kinda thing. The more realistic the better! Also, some new other stores (clothing, pastry, pet shop etc)

I agree with this, a life sim needs shops as shopping is a central part of life. Being able to - or even having to - shop for food adds realism (I enjoyed this in TS2).

we already have a clothing store… although, granted, it needs some work and be more in depth

Given it’s early access, I’m already quite happy what we can achieve with all the store objects in build mode.
The register is even functional, as well as the pastry display, for example.
After one of the last patches we are now even able to redecorate the existing shops, which I did for Jenna Fashion.
We also have a few other stores and shops on our residential lots ‘owned’ by the Zois that live there, for story telling purposes.
Like an Esoteric Shop, the Music Exchange, the shop at the gas station and the PC Café, the Market . . .
Stores still need more love, though.
I’d love to be able to place functional stands or at least remove the ‘closed’ sign.
Or to actually buy clothes and grocery from the shelves and racks, or furniture from the second hand store they added with the update.
But I’m sure functional stores will be added in the future since they are highly requested.
