Not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but I can’t find any consistency in it.

I have a household with 2 teens. For the 3ish weeks (in-game) I’ve been playing the family, Teen 1 (Male) has almost constantly had his school canceled/replaced by other events, while Teen 2 (Female) has been able to go more often, but still has had one or two days a week cancelled. Sometimes it changes the day of, sometimes it just never schedules them for school.

My teen female goes to school 2 days a week now as well.

This happens to my teens as well as adults. Something randomly gets added to their day and removes their work schedule.

I had a feeling it was happening to my (former teen, now adult) male zoi still with his new job, but I am only one work week in. He missed at least 2 work days, though one he was checked into a resort so I wasn’t sure if the game automatically had him miss it.

I’ll keep a look out and edit to confirm.

I’ve been having inconsistencies with Zois going to school in Cahaya too. They would go to a car (which I assume’s the taxi) and then either stand near that car, or would wander back home. One of the times a teen Zoi was standing next to the taxi, I tried to enroll them into a swim class (in another city, there was two scheduled with one on Saturday, and the other in the middle of the afterschool exercise period on Thursday), but all of the high school scheduling was scrapped for swimming lessons Monday to Friday in it’s place.

After the commuting time was over and it was time to go to school, the students who had been standing there gathered together in one place and disappeared, and it was treated as going to school.

Scheduled work days and school days disappear from the calendar, they do not reappear on the calendar in the following weeks.

Example 1: My child zoi in Dowon should attend school 5 days a week, but on Tuesday morning the popup to attend school never happened, and when I investigated the calendar I discovered school had disappeared from that day’s calendar. I did not delete it. This happened again on Friday the same week. School randomly disappeared from the calendar. I attempted to send this child zoi to school manually, but I was unable to interact with the school building or door, interactions were grayed out. I tried waiting until the following week to see if school would re-appear on my zoi’s calendar, but it did not. Tuesday and Friday the following week did not have school. Manually adding a calendar item for the school did not work as she did not enter the building upon arrival. When this zoi aged up to an adolescent, her calendar reset and she was again scheduled to attend school 5 days a week, but on her second day of school it again disappeared from her calendar. This happened again on what should have been the fourth day of school, so she, again, only attended 3 days of school.

Example 2: Same save file and household as example 1. My young adult worked as an idol for Adam Entertainment. This is a live career. She successfully attended work on Monday, but on Tuesday her schedule disappeared. I sent her to Adam Entertainment manually and since she was on the lot, her work tasks appeared on-screen and I was able to complete a work day with her. In the case of a live career, it appears that if the calendar item for work disappears, the UI to do work tasks still appears if my zoi is at work during what should be their scheduled shift.

Example 3: Different save file and household. My young adult zoi in Cahaya was a yoga instructor. This is a rabbit-hole career. He is supposed to work 3 days a week. The popup to go to work never appeared on his first day of work, and his shift disappeared from his calendar. He did go to work successfully on his second work day, as scheduled. On what should have been his third work day, the popup again never appeared and his shift disappeared from his calendar. I tried sending him to the yoga studio manually only to discover that there was no way to “send him to to work”. The following week he was only scheduled for one day of work.

*I have noticed that in some of these cases of disappearing work/school schedules, another item will appear on the calendar randomly. For example, going to the park will randomly appear at 2 pm and I’ll notice that calendar item at the same time I notice school or work has disappeared from the calendar. I do not believe this is always the case, however, as I can’t say it’s happened every time.

*One day there was a severe thunderstorm in my game, and my entire household’s calendars were automatically cleared that day. Did the storm have something to do with the entire household’s calendars being cleared for the day? Did they get the day off because of bad weather?

Is there a fix, or an explanation for why work and school items are randomly disappearing from my zoi’s calendars? Is there a way to get them back? Thank you and please

I’ve had this issue on/off since I started playing in April.

The only “solution” (if you want to call it that), at least for careers is to resign and re-apply to the same job. Normally you keep your current level, but any progress towards the next one is lost (which depending on the job might be a huge thing).

My lead on the problem was the same as you. Basically either some friend/relative asks you to “meet-up” and a rendez-vous is planned. If it falls on a school/work day, no matter if it is before, during, or after your workday/schoolday gets permanently removed from the schedule. Though it has also happened without such events being asked (at least, to my knowledge)

I hope this issue gets resolved, it’s very annoying.

I also encounter this problem. If an event is planned for this day, then the other event disappears. This happens even if they do not collide in time.
My characters had a wedding planned. I set the time so that Zoi would have time to come home from work. But work still completely disappeared from the schedule. She was not even listed as working in her phone. Then her sister came to visit. And the wedding was cancelled! Moreover, Zoi is considered engaged and I could not reschedule the event.

Hello, everyone, good morning!
Here’s basically what’s happening: every time my Zoi plans an event outside of work hours (even if it’s later canceled), the work-related tasks don’t show up. It’s as if they didn’t go to work that day, even though he’s on the lot during work hours. This doesn’t count as “unexcused absence,” but the tasks don’t show up and there’s no payment for the day.

This has happened twice already: once, my Zoi scheduled a meetup with another Zoi two hours after work, and the tasks disappeared immediately. Now, he started an event before work hours (I didn’t even know that something like “share memories” or something along those lines would trigger an event, and unfortunately I don’t remember the exact name of the interaction), on the Adam Entertainment lot itself, ended it before the work shift began and still, the tasks didn’t show up when the shift started.

It’s important to note that the “Adam Entertainment” event still appears normally in the “Edit Schedule” tab.

I have the same issue with other jobs as well. Sometimes it shows up again or adjusts the shift in weird ways, but usually it does as you said.
