Zoom for Photos in Character Creation

If you want to share a makeup preset on Canvas, it would be appropriate to have the ability to zoom in, that is, to get a very close view of the character’s face. Otherwise, how can we show the makeup well? Or simply a face. Currently, it’s not possible to zoom in enough. Thank you

aaaah maybe I understand what you mean, but unfortunately I don’t think it’s enough to show the trick up close :sob:

First Image zoomed in without changing zoom to 30

Second image zoomed in with zoom set to 30

If you image to show closer than this zoom in at 30 and crop image to narrow tall like this

Notice the image is still 930 pixels, zooming in does display it closer but shows lower quality :+1:

If you want High Quality Photos, the only way is screen shots because the in game camera is low resolution, to do this press Windows Key and Print Screen Key at same time, then Paste it in your Photo Editor and save PNG or JPG, then select these images when uploading to Canvas, I don’t do this because the in game photos work good enough, but if you want HQ it is well worth the extra effort :+1:

@JoyIsFunner first of all THANK YOU for the suggestions

So are you saying that I could have a greater zoom than what you showed me in the second photo? Because of the imprecise translation, I’m not sure I understand well what you’re saying

Shift + Win + S

Opens the snipping tool for screenshots on Windows.

For images you can choose rectangular area, free form or full screen up to the screen native resolution.

You can also record video and sound. (partial area or full screen)

The images are saved automatically in png format under %Users%\Pictures\Screenshots (default location can be changed). You can annotate, highlight, crop and save as new image. See several other settings in the app.

Videos are saved in mp4 by default under %Users%\Videos\Screen Recordings

Happy snipping!

Ok, thank you, but my question is: would this allow me to zoom in more? And then upload these zoomed photos to Canvas?

Well the full zoom is game is to set the camera zoom slider all the way down to 30 and scroll in with mouse wheel, now the difference of using in game photos and using screenshots is game camera is 930 tall and width can be changed with the in game crop icon next to the zoom slider icon, screenshots give you your whole screen Idk your screen size but mine is 1920x1080 so lets say you want a photo of your zoi at a place and you want to see the area around, if you use in game camera and zoom to where it has everything you want in the photo it’s going to be 1102x620 vs if you zoom to where it has everything you want in the photo and make a screenshot it’s going to be 1920x1080 or whatever size your screen is and the more pixels in an image is higher quality. @DivineManifest method is how Windows is designed and works great, my method is simple and manual, but I prefer my method, both methods work great, so you can make screenshots either way, I hope this helps :+1:

ok, thank you so much everyone :growing_heart: I’ll use your suggestions to take screenshots, but I still think we should have the ability to zoom in during character creation that allows us to get this close when we intend to show the makeup:

Yes ignoring the in game camera does get close-ups, I scrolled all the way in then cropped it to square 1080x1080, if this s what you’re looking for to use for Makeup this is a lot closer than the in game camera can get :+1:
