I really love that you’re bringing back the old UI from pre-0.3.0 !
But since it is still in the design phase, here are the 2 changes I’d like to make to the proposed CLASSIC option: #1 - Round portrait as it was pre-0.3.0. Maybe as an option specifically for the portrait like we have for resizing other elements. But we could chose the square one, or back to the round one which I loved very much.
#2 - The slim emotion bar. Now we only have so much footage so maybe I didn’t see properly, but it is small/slim which is great, but the original felt even better. It had a dot for all emotion categories and in my humble opinion still looked better than the proposed one. Maybe if possible have that one back? If it really cannot be done, then maybe use the same small size with a place / dot for each emotion permanently always at the same spot ? (ie: Angry could be the 10th one and always be, or whatever). We could mouse over to get more details.
Regardless, thank you for revisiting the UI… The old one was DEARLY missed in my case.
Thank you !

EDIT:
Old Screenshot that illustrates my 2 requests. See the little with triangle arrow over the active emotion and a specific determined spot for each one… Also round portrait and the small “Joyful” element being another element instead if fused to the square portrait - less important that last one, but was perfect !
I’d like to clarify that when you write requests, it’s better to keep in mind that the final summary is summarized by an AI. So if you say something like “we’d like the old UI back, but the new one is also good, thanks,” the system may interpret it as “thank you for the new UI”.
I asked the AI to generate a one‑sentence summary of the feedback, and here are the variants:
User expresses appreciation for the UI revisit and requests two classic‑style adjustments.
User appreciates the UI revisit, while expressing concern about several older UI/UX features that have disappeared.
User praises the UI changes but requests bringing back several classic HUD and UI/UX elements.
User asks for the return of classic HUD components and notes that multiple earlier UI/UX elements they valued have been removed in recent versions.
Last time Kjun misunderstood our request, likely because the praise for both the old and new UI caused some confusion in how the feedback was interpreted.
One‑sentence summary of the feedback injoihaeyo_86265:
User questions why the old UI wasn’t simply brought back and expresses concern about the game losing its original identity.
(silly version) User is unhappy with recent UI changes
…of my feedback
(silly version) User says there was a misunderstanding and they want the old 2024 UI back.
Maybe it’d be better not to modify anything and just add it on top this time? Discord will count it as “many”, so you can reply to the injoihaeyo’s message as if you simply forgot to include it earlier. Copilot works the same way, I saw the same person wrote something five times, yet both systems interpret it as “many”. I know, it’s sad, but it’s a small glimpse into a distorted reality.
Uhuh. Or fingers crossed that someone mentions especially the needs‑depletion issue, or that Discord generates a detailed summary this time (if it doesn’t read context at all, only key words, it’s wild)
I’ll still try to me more concise and direct with my requests in the future (at least on Discord) with less “Padding” to make it easier to not bruise their egos (and then we get NOTHING).
I mean it like “thought = post”, like, in the next post I’ll write about this and that. Wait 15 minutes and then copy‑paste it, omg. Well, the age‑length sliders were mentioned by 3–4 ppl, so that one should be included, maybe even with a bit of a reproach about the delay.
And damn, ppl keep suggesting things that are in the roadmap or pets that weren’t promised for EA, and that also distorts the picture.
