  • Hello, I’m on the modkit and since I downloaded the new version of Blender I’ve been having major problems with my maps (Diffuse etc…)

Currently having a problem with my ARM Map that’s crashing my entire creation. Does anyone have a solution please, I’m desperate.

@itsmechiie7 by any chance if you have the answer I’d be grateful given the tremendous help you gave me last time.

When I disable the ARM map the outfit goes back to normal

Hi @Sandroulyt

I’ve moved your thread to the Q&A category since this is a question. This should make it easier for everyone to see it and answer your question. Thanks

Hi there! If you take a look at your diffuse and your arm and rgb masks, they look significantly different. The top parts need to be in the exact same place, otherwise you will get strange colors and transparencies like it is happening to you.

You can create both the ARM and the RGB map directly from the Diffuse map so that they are not mismatched.

To create the ARM simply open the diffuse in an image editor and paint the clothing parts in any color between green and orange. Orange is very shiny, green is not shiny at all: choose depending on the finish look you are looking for.

To create the RGB Mask you can follow the steps in this tutorial. It’s simple!

Let me know if this fixed it for you :custom_heart:

@itsmechiie7 After checking, the problem persists

The problem doesn’t come from the ModKit

It comes from Blender 5.01: I place my UV editing for my maps

When I apply my material, my entire UV editing shifts and causes a bug when I create my Arm, normalmap, etc…
