we really need a stealth mechanic for cheating/affairs and secrets it would add another layer to the game

Yes! At the moment, Zois seem to magically know when their partner is cheating. I also think this would be a good mechanism to implement for later additions to the game. For example, if we were to implement supernatural beings, it would be fun to have a werewolf or alien trying to hide their identity.
