I propose replacing the school uniform with a home outfit category instead of introducing a new one. Currently, we have a school uniform that is not used by adults and seniors, and the game children and youth put it on randomly. If they happen to get a school uniform in winter, they freeze in it. Therefore, I would like to see categories: everyday outfit worn to school alternating with summer and winter versions, and a home outfit worn at home regardless of the temperature outside. We can assume that in Zoe’s apartments air conditioning/heating is working, and they don’t need to adapt their clothing to the season. This should work the same way as removing shoes when the appropriate option is enabled.
I want to keep school uniform personally.
But agreed they should flesh those uniforms out (for seasons and they should wear them going to school until back at home, always).
And a new home category, agreed.

I went to public schools and never seen uniforms in any school, imo uniforms look military and I love personality, so I would love for us to wear whatever we want in our game, a setting to use uniforms or not would be sweet

From past experience, I feel removing and reclassifying anything in this game is asking for frustration down the road, because the Devs have built a system based on their roadmap, which is still evolving.
I would rather keep the school uniform category as is (see reason below), and add a new category for indoor Home wear. Hence my wish list in the other post Add new Outfit category in CAZ as “Home”
Considering that the school system is getting an uplift, it is likely that the school uniform will be used by age groups children to adults. Children to Teen as students (school to University) and Young Adults and Adults as faculty members in the schools/universities. (In my country, not just the students, even some schools and college faculties have uniforms). So let the school uniform category be as is, and add a new category for indoor outfit.
Those who do not want to use school uniforms, can customize that outfit as they see fit, perhaps same as outdoor wear.

I want to keep the uniforms. It is very rare to find a school that doesn’t have a uniform in the UK, so to wear home clothes feels really wrong. What is needed is zois putting on appropriate outdoors clothing, hats, scarves, coats etc. when they go out. Uniform doesn’t change according to the season, beyond putting on a jumper under your blazer and girls wearing tights if they wear a skirt.

Here in the U.S. most school do not have uniforms, so uniforms feel military to us,
it will be nice if we have the option of having our worlds use uniforms or not
