[05.01.26] Zoi's different sounds and walking styles.

Dear @Kjun

Why don’t we have different voices for the Zoi’s? Why are the voices of women, men, and children all the same? This needs to change. Also their walks styles vary according to their mood. I’m leaving a few pictures below that you can get inspiration from.My inzoi gaming friends will agree with this opinion. I’m eagerly awaiting everyone’s comments.

Yes, that’s right. It should be from the beginning. But I don’t want to see such nonsense as: stupid gait or zombie gait. If someone walks like a zombie in reality, they will be quickly sent to a mental hospital. I also want not only the tone of voice to change, but also the speed at which the Zoi are talking. For example: there are people in the world who talk very slowly, not in a hurry. And vice versa very quickly (sometimes it is not clear what they are saying). It’s going to be a lot of fun.:slightly_smiling_face:

I’m all for different voices, but please no different walking styles, I’m fed up with that because of Sims 4…I had to change the walking style to normal for all NPCs!

  1. I’d like to see differences in walking style or 2. behavior patterns, 3. voice, and 4. ways of expressing emotions based on [temperament, personality, age, body type, etc.], and on top of that, I’d also like there to be customizable elements that users can adjust.
    That’s an excellent suggestion.
While animations may be a lower priority in game development, I think this system would be the best way to showcase the characters in inZoi, so I’d like to see it implemented as a priority.

Why are there so many people, like me, who want different walking styles? Those who want to use the classic robot and zombie walk there will be an option in the settings. You can’t just think about yourself in this matter.

I agree, various walking styles would be cool before the game releases. Things like robot or zombie walks might become some kind of dance variation. That’d be a good compromise for players who prefer a purely realistic attempt :slightly_smiling_face:

If I remember correctly, the team has mentioned that different voices are already being discussed

The zoi’s walk lifelessly and monotonously like zombies. This needs to change.

It would be great to have different walking styles and voices :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:. After all, Zois now walk faster when crossing the street. We could even take that to the extreme right before the light turns red again. We already have sleepwalkers, as well. I’m really curious to see when these changes will be implemented.

This is definitely something the game needs! I’d love to see a variety of REALISTIC walking styles, without exaggeration or cartoonishness. In The Sims 4, I never chose those weird walks like the zombie one, etc., but I actively used the other more normal styles  I still feel like there aren’t enough walking styles in The Sims 4, so I’d be really happy if they added this to InZOI! And those who don’t want to use different walks can simply not choose them. There could even be a setting in the game so we can choose whether different walking styles apply to NPCs or not! That would really bring the game to life!

“Different” walking styles don’t necessarily mean “idiotic” ones like in Sims

I think nobody would turn down realistic types of gait. Especially if it depends on body type. At minimum, a very overweight and very thin character should walk a bit differently. Or do you dislike any type other than the standard one, even if it would look natural?

Just so you know, this is just curiosity, I’m not implying anything bad—you have every right to want what you want.

Dude, in the current version everyone walks the same way why not have different walking styles? We will also get rid of monotony. Do we all walk the same way in real life? It also adds variety to the game and eliminates the robotic walking of the characters.

I’d like to add my thoughts on the running style of seniors and older Zois in inZoi. Because, well, that’s not really my style

I do think some slight variations ( if done right) could add to the realism of the game. at one point my zoi stopped to fix her shoe at the exact same time as the zoi walking behind her. By adding and varying these small movements, this sort of thing is less likely to happen. I do agree with @Birksche that they shouldn’t be over-the-top like in the sims 4; most of the walking styles in that game were unusable and annoying.

if i remember correctly, voice and walking style variations are on the roadmap. Hopefully, they come soon!

Are you sure? I couldn’t find it.

It’s listed under ‘animation & presentation’…

I’m interested to see what they have planned. I’m hoping they create animations for clumsy zois. I’d love to see them stumble occasionally while walking, dropping things and spilling drinks. I always loved watching clumsy characters in the sims

I think this is an essential feature. Right now, too many Zois share the same voice, which makes them feel less unique. More voice variety would greatly improve individuality and immersion.

Voice yes, as soon as the game came out in early access I immediately looked in CAS to see how to change the voice, I was surprised that there’s no such function, but since the game is still in development, I’m hoping for the future that they’ll add this feature. Walks yes, but I don’t like how it’s done in Sims 4, the walks there are more scary and not realistic in my opinion, and the game is cartoonish too, which is just not for me, though I have nothing against zombies, but still, it’s not about the walks, though it would be cool if they added zombies separately and you could play survival. And honestly, in my whole life I’ve never seen a single person walk the way the walks are depicted in Sims 4. I liked the picture below, the black and white one where the walks are actually more realistic.

OMG, yes! I’ve been wanting different voices so much. Also, voices getting older as they grow, because I hate that elders speak with young people’s voice, it makes it unnatural.

I think different voices and walking styles are a great idea. I think it should be based on traits, age, situations, and current mood. An excited Zoi may walk/talk faster, and a worried Zoi may walk/talk slower. Kids and adults with a playful trait might skip instead of walking when happy. Some older adults could be slouched while using a walker or a cane

Also, situational-based walking could include a high school student who slowly walks home from school if they didn’t pass their weekly exam.

I don’t like the walking styles from Sims 4, most were too extreme to use. I did like some of Sims 4 voices.
