The holiday venues are beautiful, but all they do is eat and take photos. Maybe holiday activities like games and meet and greets. Pie eating contest…something please

Oh yes, I miss that too. In the holiday event from the December update, there were performances by a band that sang Christmas carols beautifully. It’s a shame that disappeared.
I wouldn’t want a cake-eating contest (I care about my zois eating healthily and they eat a ton of sweets on occasions like this anyway 
) but for example, some dances in the square in front of the Christmas tree. Zois have nice dance animations, it could be used but in a way that more NPCs danced, like a fun dance party for the holiday.
There could be an animation of waving artificial fireworks, and in spring releasing soap bubbles but also performed by a large group of NPCs that our zoi could join.

Yes. I agree. There is a city planned holiday. You leave a child, you go there, and it’s empty.
I would like to see such celebrations in the square like in The Sims 3, as well as the holiday participation features like in The Sims 4.
Actually, The Sims 4 game sucks. But I like how the system of home holidays is implemented there. For example: at Christmas, you need to decorate the Christmas tree, invite friends to visit, cook a festive dinner - all this so that Santa will come and give everyone gifts. And there are many such holidays that can be done.

No. A cake eating contest or a meal needs to be added. If your Zois only want to eat healthy food, then that’s just your problem.
Don’t cut out the feature because someone can’t control their characters.
