Details: I can’t use the cheat ‘customZoi’ for random zois in the city, it will allow me to change, but the change won’t actually happen. At the beginning it was ignoring the change, but now it gets stuck on charging screen after saving. Tried close the game, tried different zois, still the same result. The cheat works fine in zois that live in the city, only gets stuck with random zois.
Tried changing only clothing, or only facial features/hair, still doesn’t work. I have to close the game completely because it gets stuck in the following screen:
I tried a new game, still happens the same. At the beginning it just doesn’t do the change, it ignores it, and then when you try it several times, it starts getting stuck in the loading screen.
This is the first time I’ve seen this, so if the cheat hasn’t been modified or temporarily diabled and you ahve already verified your files after removing the mods, would you mind giving a bit more info?:
Does it happen to a city Zoi after:
unlocking their profile with unlockProfile [ZoiID]
befriending them
moving them into a household
Does the edited Zoi remain visible in the world after the infinite loading begins?
Does the same city Zoi become editable if they are first added to a household
For the devs: CustomZoi appears to function correctly on resident/household Zois but fails on randomly generated city Zois. Changes are either discarded or the game becomes stuck on the loading screen after saving. Reproduced in a new save without mods. This suggests CustomZoi may not properly handle transient/non-resident NPC data introduced or affected by v0.9.0.

Since I have not found any teenagers in Dowon, I tried to make some from young adults and failed. This was possible before the patch and not written in the patch notes. Please add this information!
So I have to create some teenagers as residents or am I alone in the school?
When unlocking the profile first, the result is the same, except in this new save, I’m not getting the infinite loading screen, but the changes don’t save, Zoi remains as it is.
When Befriending them the issue persists, no change is done despite Zoi being BFF with my Zoi.
Moving them into a household works because they become part of the ‘city’ and they are editable.
When the loading screen was happening, I had to close the game with task manager, but yes, the zois remained in the game, didn’t disappear.
Yes, the city zoi becomes editable if they are first added to a household. It only happens with the zois that are not “living” in the city, basically, that I can’t play with.

When I use the cheat to edit NPCs, changing their appearance with a Zoi preset works fine in the CAZ menu. However, once back in-game, they revert to their original faces.

I have had this very issue for the last couple months, but never said anything about it. I use customzoi, edit the zoi, click complete, after a loading screen the NPC changes never take effect. I have tried the same things, disable all mods, change only the NPCs clothes, restart game, etc… The customizations never take effect. Only NPCs not living in the city are effected by this. Any playable Zoi functions fine.
Something similar happened to me with clothing and hairstyle. I remade the same NPC twice and the new outfit appearance didn’t save. Every time in Zoe’s life mode, it would revert to its original appearance.
Details:
After entering the customzoi cheat, the game successfully switches to the character creation screen. However, after I save the changes, the character remains unchanged and retains its original appearance.
Today was my first day in school. And like on the beginning of EA, all teens seems to be herero. It takes several months for You to correct this for adult zois, so please don’t let us wait so long again. Maybe You haven’t learned anything from this “lesson”?
Young humans explore sexuality, so give the teen zois this chance too. Or make this cheat working so I can change it by myself.
Same here, I used to be able to use the CustomZoi cheat to edit the townies in the game but after the latest update (game version 20260619.13318.W) the changes does not save, I first use the showZoiInfo true, then I use CustomZoi followed by their zoi info, I make the changes in cas and I click complete I go back to the game and no changes have been made to the zoi.
I tried saving the zoi as a preset as well and applying it but no changes seem to be saved when you go back into the game.
I hope this gets fixed as I loved being able to customize the townies.
