Hello everyone, when I’m in the middle of a game my character won’t sit down anymore.
or sits down sideways
When I move with z, q, s, d and as soon as I turn my character ends up leaning to the side
When you say it won’t sit down any more you mean always? Is there not a single time when your character sits normally? If that is the case, it’s a frustrating bug. May I ask if the mods your are using are CAZ or Build or both? Have you tried reproducing the same bug without mods?

Hello, the same bugs occur without the mods too, I had to buy a new laptop because they don’t want to sit at the desk anymore
I also had the chair bug but I thought it could be because I crafted a desk chair - when I replaced the chair the seating animation worked as intended again. I haven’t seen it again…
Luckily, I did not have the leaning Zoi..!!
It was the same for me after I replaced the chair, everything went back to normal completely
Broken sitting animation happen with my zoi sitting at the kitchen table to do homework he will turn it sideways and then look like he has broken wrists doing it since he no longer heads to the nearest empty desk to do it where the animation works properly… and when drinking espresso near a beanbag chair he will sit with his drink then stand up inside the middle of the chair until he is done drinking then sit on it before standing up to clean up the cup… and when eating salad he sits at the table fidgeting as if he’s not eating with arms crossed but his hunger goes up and you can hear the salad being crunched in his mouth and when he’s done the salad bowl is carried upside down inside his hand to the dishwasher and turns it normal to put it in… reading a book he sits on sofa and fidgets while the book is going thru his hand and pages are turning but he is smacking his knees bored as if he’s not doing anything at all while the book sits inside his wrist turning pages until he’s done… not sure if those are just broken teenager animations because he is a teenager
I can confirm that the broken sitting animation is not only related to teenagers, because I’ve experienced it with Young Adults lately too ![]()
That’s true @HeinziDerHeld When I had this animation error with the crafted chair, I tested with my adult, teenager and child and they all sat wrong until I deleted the chair. It seems that replacing the chairs could be a temporary fix…
@Killerpoet have you tried replacing the chairs to see if it changes things?
I thought the developers had somehow programmed the seat, backrest, and legs incorrectly in relation to each other — or, as we’d say in German, “the carpenter botched the job.” ?
Hi, I also experienced improper sitting posture on a chair at the laptop in the Idol profession (in the office for briefing).
I built a brand new house to try and get rid of errors that didn’t work
Oh that’s unfortunate![]()
So if you’re not using mods and the problem still persists after deleting the chair and rebuilding the house then my only other suggestion here is to try the Emergency Rescue on you Zoi.
This must be very frustrating and I hope there’s a solution soon ![]()
nope emergency rescue doesn’t help either
This happens to my zois as well but only when using custom content chairs. ![]()
I don’t have any other suggestion left - I hope the Team will look into this.
Since it happened only once in my game and not again after deleting the chair - I can’t recommend any other options to try, sadly.
Hi, I’m experiencing this sitting animation glitch in my game as well.
It happens randomly with certain chairs and benches. The animation glitches on the first try, but if I cancel the action and make them sit again, it works the second time. I didn’t need to change or replace the bench to fix it, retrying the action on the same chair/bench worked for me.
I’ve attached screenshots showing both the glitch and the correct animation on the same bench.
