Let Canvas open in our preferred browser

As it currently stands, Canvas automatically opens in Microsoft Edge instead of using my preferred browser which is Firefox. Please let Canvas open in our preferred browser when we click the icon in game.

It actually happens when you select the default browser from Windows settings? It open in the browser i want. ? Are you using Windows 10? That’s very interesting because i don’t have that problem.

I set all of the preferred to Firefox. It’s not working, and I use Windows 11.

So the problem is in Win 11. How @Mazikeen said, there are no problems on Win 10. And everything is fine on Arch Linux too.

I’ve seen this issue before - Canvas and bug report force Edge

But I’m not sure if the author managed to solve it somehow. In any case, it makes sense to ask there - maybe they figured it out? On my Windows 10, everything opens in Firefox without any issues

After about an hour, I said F it and deleted Edge which is a bit annoying but it worked for me.

I’m on Win11 if that matters.

Open File Explorer and paste this link: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application"

Select all and delete

Give admin access

When it says it can’t be completed, check the “do this for all current items” and choose “skip

In my case, I had two files left, but it should normally be one file left.

Either way, open the folder and select all and delete again.

And same as before, just skip all current items.

If you had more than one file like me, then do the same thing for that folder as well.

Now go back to Inzoi and try opening Canvas.

If there are issues with your PC by not having Edge installed, you can reinstall it using cmd. I haven’t done that myself since I haven’t had any issues yet. If anyone knows a better way to do this, I’d love to know, but this is the best I could come up with.
