More realistic animations

First of all, i recently started playing again and im already obsessed :sob: One thing that bothers me as a perfectionist— How stiff some animations look. Watching Television interaction, for example, has a really stiff and unrealistic animation. I think Zoi’s should be more relaxed, leaning back, positioning legs differently for more realism.

Reading book, checking smartphone, sitting down, eating and using the tablet interactions could get improved a little.

Thank you!

These are not our priorities right now. Currently the developers priorities are adding missing features and fixing bugs. This is the most pointless suggestion right now.

This forum isn’t about what you want them to work on now specifically? It’s about suggestions that you’d like to see in the future. So her post is completely valid.

To the OP, I agree, a few more relaxed animations would be great in the future

Heya:four_leaf_clover:

I think this might happen in relation to the more detailed personality rework, where Zois behave and move more depending on how their personality is.

This might lead to a perfectionist and tidy Zoi to, in your example, sit more straight while a lazy Zoi could literally sink down the couch and watch TV.

This would make a Zoi feel even more personal. It might take a while, because I think they would need to mocap some new animations then, but fingers crossed such a fine polish will happen.

I completely agree with that. One doesn’t prevent the other. They can very well move forward on their priorities, fix bugs and, at the same time, think about the features the community would like to see in the future. Anyway, the more features they add, the more new bugs there will probably be to fix. So the two should move forward in parallel.

I totally agree with that. Plus, the fact that animations vary depending on each Zoi’s personality would make each of them truly unique. They would have different postures, attitudes and body language, instead of giving this impression of robots all behaving the same way. This could also apply to their gait, the way they sit, stand, or even their little everyday reactions. I think that would bring a lot of personality.

But not here. Just more relaxed, lively animations and interactions are now a priority (as the developers said). What the author wrote is just one example of a multitude of possible revisions. But the main point is clear.

i agree that its not so important right now, but its a very good stap right before the final update, and yeah the eatting animation is feeling boring and dull, but now adding more feature and Improve stability,

Developers should add essential features that are currently missing. It’s pointless to play with animations that are already in the game it’s a complete waste of time. @Nickholas @NIck_Olay @Y2KBrit I’m not that obsessed with realism. This is a game.

What especially bothers me are the children’s animations. When they greet each other, they do silly things, cross their arms and make fun of each other. They do this all the time, even when they’re talking normally with their parents or friends. It causes me great discomfort and makes me not want to have children in the game.
