Coastal Life — Florida Keys–Inspired DLC

I’d love to see a Coastal Life DLC inspired by the Florida Keys, with a map centered around water, islands, and coastal neighborhoods. I imagine lots of houses spread across different islands, plenty of fair-sized residential lots, and even some unique over-water lots where Zois could build homes on stilts or directly above the water. :house_with_garden::ocean: I’d also like to see beaches, canals, marinas, docks, boats, tropical vegetation, and bridges connecting some of the islands and neighborhoods. :palm_tree::bridge_at_night: Water would be a big part of everyday life here, with Zois being able to live right by the ocean, have a waterfront or over-water home, take boats through the canals, and enjoy a coastal lifestyle that feels more modern and residential rather than mainly focused on resorts. :speedboat::house_with_garden::ocean:
Thank you to the developers for continuing to expand inZOI and giving us the opportunity to imagine new ways our Zois can live and experience the world!

I like the over-water/stilt house idea especially, but honestly this sounds very close to Cahaya to me. We already have a tropical island world with beaches, boats, snorkeling, fishing, resorts and even water villas.

I think things like more waterfront residential lots, canals, marinas, docks, bridges and actual buildable stilt houses could be really nice as an expansion of Cahaya instead. There are already people asking for the local/residential side of Cahaya to be expanded and made more lively.

Of course a Florida Keys inspired place could have a different style, but gameplay-wise I’m not sure it would be different enough to justify another whole map DLC instead of developing the tropical/coastal world we already have. :four_leaf_clover:

Yeah  I see the overlap, but I was imagining something more modern and residential rather than tropical/village-like  Cahaya would probably need quite a bit of remodeling to achieve that kind of environment, which is why I thought a separate Florida Keys-inspired map could work with a more modern atmosphere

My concern is just that we won’t get another coastal-type dlc anytime soon, so my thought was instead of having a completely new map, extending Cahaya with those details might be the way, once inZOI launches.

As I said, I also like these type of regions, but considering Cahaya has a “similar” structure, I don’t think this will be content they will aim for in the near future.

The next dlc’s focus probably falls on gameplay/maps that don’t exist yet in that form like some of your previous suggestions (Paris, Alaska, Egypt, etc.)

I hope I made my point a little clearer now:four_leaf_clover:

Yeah, I get what you mean now! :+1::globe_showing_europe_africa: I agree that it would be better to prioritize worlds and gameplay that feel completely new to inZOI, like Paris :france:, Alaska :snow_capped_mountain:, Egypt :amphora:, or other unique settings. :globe_showing_americas::sparkles: I still think the Florida Keys idea would be cool someday :palm_tree::ocean::house_with_garden:, but I can definitely see why expanding Cahaya first could make more sense. :+1:

I also love everything related to water - all those canals, backwaters, lakes, and even marshes where very picturesque flora and fauna can thrive. But in the near future we really do need a city that fully represents all 4 seasons, like in Dowon.

As far as I know, Provence does have proper snowy winters. So if the terrain there is also not flat but has elevation changes - that would be absolutely amazing! And then later we can gradually add everything else, including “single-season” regions where the weather doesn’t change much all year round.

But I’m begging you, please:

That phrase reeks of artificial intelligence so strongly that it’s just unbearable! Delete stuff like that from messages right after generation, otherwise it won’t be taken seriously!

I also love the sea, water, and all that. But it’s true that if we were to prioritize a new city, we might as well go for something we really need.

From your images, I get the impression of seeing a mix between the waterfront houses of Bliss Bay and those of Cahaya. It’s actually quite possible that this kind of construction could arrive in the future with celebrities, to allow them to have more luxurious homes in Pilori.

But right now, if I had to prioritize the idea of a new city, what I really need is nature. And when I talk about nature, I’m including several possibilities: lakes, mountains with real relief, why not accommodations at higher elevations, which could also serve as vacation destinations in the future and allow us to diversify the experience compared to Cahaya’s beaches.

I’d also really like to have large forests, not just the small green spaces or parks we currently have.

And most importantly, I think we need to think about what kind of city could allow us to do activities different from what we can already do in the current cities. For example, a region with ranches, big roads where we could really enjoy the scenery while driving, mountains, lakes, large forests, and so on. And why not something completely different, like a city or region inspired by Egypt, with a desert environment, pyramids, and totally different architecture. That would really allow us to change the scenery and offer a completely different experience.

Because in the end, for the very urban side, with a somewhat stressful city lol, we already have Dowon. For the city side with waterfront houses, we have Bliss Bay, and for the truly island side with the sea, we already have Cahaya.

So I think we should rather ask ourselves: “What do we really need? What kind of city could allow us to do activities different from what we can already do? And most importantly, what could this new city offer us beyond what we already have?”

And for me, it would really be a destination much more focused on nature and exploration, with relief, forests, lakes, mountains, ranches, big roads, or even why not a completely exotic environment like the desert, pyramids, or something really different. In short, something that really gives us the impression of discovering a new environment and offers new gameplay possibilities.

I actually agree with this a lot. :evergreen_tree::snow_capped_mountain: I was thinking about something similar too, mainly a place with huge forests, mountains, cliffs, lakes and big scenic roads, but with a little modern life mixed in. I was thinking of the Lake District in England :united_kingdom::evergreen_tree: because it has the kind of nature I mean, and it could give us a totally different environment from Dowon, Bliss Bay and Cahaya  .

About the only thing i would like to add is not another water world as such but the ability to have house boats

Yeah  that could work
