It’s not a bug. If you click the F Button, it brings the camera directly to the Zoi. If it’s on the Zoi, the F Button is gone. So I think it just shows the function, not exactly a bug
Is there a way to turn it off? I’m getting really annoyed. I don’t want to see the letter F. I’ve never had this problem before.
I can’t find a way to turn it off, just to change the keybindings for it sadly
I agree that it’s incredibly annoying. It should be removed.
It’s clearly a bug it’s blocking the “mood” text. It’s constantly on the screen. It’s incredibly annoying, and other players confirm it.
The F symbol stands for Focus.
It appears when the camera is not following your current Zoi. If you press the F key, the camera will zoom in on your Zoi and follow them around. Since dragging the camera stops the camera from following the Zoi, the Focus (F) key shows up again.
Back when the game first came out, the profile picture used to blur out and say “Click to Focus” instead, directing players to click the profile image to focus on the Zoi.

Edit: For some reason, the other comments didn’t show up until after I commented, so I see someone answered you already! I don’t think it’s a bug, but I do think it needs to be removed or changed.
Not sure how this is clearly a bug when we’ve had a similar mechanic before. It’s only on the screen for me when the camera isn’t focused on the Zoi. Even in your video, the F disappears when your camera is focused on the Zoi again.
It seems like intended behavior, but it is clearly unwanted. I think it looks bad and needs to be removed or adjusted, especially since most of the time we play in that camera mode, we won’t be focused on our Zois.
It’s definitely a new change, so that’s why it was never a problem before. It’s a pretty unnecessary change that is more annoying that helpful, if you ask me. Unfortunately, I can’t find a way to turn it off either.

Start a new game.
I didn’t do much except rearrange the UI (still getting messed-up every new game by the way) and placed a old house of mine (see other bug report about red house).
This is a brand new 0.10.0 game to make sure to not carry over old version bugs.
It’s affecting my 2 zois I started the game with.

It’s not a bug, but it’s definitely not a welcome change for me.
The F stands for Focus, and it’s the key you press to focus onto your Zoi so that the camera follows them. Profile images used to blur out and say “Click to Focus” before, but they removed that when they upgraded profile images from the small circle to the large rectangle.
This is a new version of that mechanic, but I don’t like it at all since most of the time, my camera is not directly focused on my Zois.

I think it might make more sense then to list it as a wish rather than a bug? Because I agree that it is intended by the devs to be like this with the “F” button, which doesn’t mean that we like it
If you put it as a wishlist it will NOT get fixed.
Other issues have been put on the wishlist and casually left ignored for more than a year now !!!
If they don’t want to fix it, then add a menu option to hide it.
I don’t need that annoying UI reminded that I am not focused.
In fact 90% of the time I don’t play focus, this is a huge hurdle.
Please give us an option in the earliest hotfix.

A pointless addition you dont need . Players know if they want to follow the zoi or focus to just click on the picture anyway
Just like the annoying action they do every time they do something they like IE gardening and then then stand there doing the animation with the little clap
Gotta be honest, the F is not very easy on the eye IMHO either, but I actually like the small animation whenever zois do something they really enjoy. Yes, it can become a little repetitive, e.g. while cooking, when it happens multiple times, but it doesn’t bother me (yet)
