As I noticed after Sep 2026 patch update. I noticed when allow your ZOI to walk and in 5 seconds your ZOI runs instead pushing SHIFT key manually.
This came with the latest update, but you can toggle it back to the previous setting via the in-game settings
Should be listed in “controls”. I toggled it myself, so it should work.
Heya
.
If you don’t like this function, you can turn it off in the options:
Then it works via shift hold again. This isn’t an error, but a function that was added. I don’t like it either, but we can disable it luckily
Hi @KooKazoi ![]()
I’ve moved your post to the Bug Report category so it’s easier for the team to track and review.
Just a quick note: the Technical Help category is mainly for issues that prevent the game from running properly, like launch problems or frequent crashes. For anything related to in-game behavior, the Bug Report category is the best place to post.
Thanks so much for your help! ![]()
Sorry.. I miss tagged. xD
Welp that solved quickly! Thank you so much team!
You can mark a helpful reply as solved, in case other players might be wondering about this setting as well. Thanks ![]()
A hundred times thank you! I looked all over for the setting as the running through the school and at home was driving me nuts.
The worst thing about all this is that nobody listened to us again. There was such an excellent suggestion in the running thread to toggle it with a single short Shift press. Such an obvious and convenient solution, but instead, for some reason, they came up with this weird W setting. And when you disable it — you have to hold down the key for running all the time again.
Why not listen to such obvious and simple advice is beyond me personally. Though I suspect — nobody bothered to read the replies in that thread, like everything else, so this suggestion went unseen.
You’d think it’s an official forum! But we’ll only listen to those who write on Discord. Amazing approach.
I also remember reading that in the Brainstorm, where they introduced this mechanic and someone made the suggestion with the SHIFT-Toggle. At this point, the Forum feels more like us Forum users helping each other instead of the dev team considering the ideas from here. It is a shame, because I personally prefer the forum over Discord, but it seems we are mostly being unheard here…
Yes, unfortunately that’s the case. Kjun recently wrote that he was interested in looking at topics about DLSS 5 experiments. It’s great that he’s considering this issue (even though the current implementation is terrible, but that’s not the point). So here, on the forum, there were at least 3 topics about this. But when I looked at the statistics for the week, it clearly shows that he read one topic on the forum (which he created himself) and two messages. Which proves that not only were all the other topics ignored, but he didn’t even read all our replies to his message, even within the same topic. And yet people wrote him so many words of support and good wishes…
And all these DLSS topics he was looking through, it turns out, weren’t on this forum either.
This… is disappointing!
I understand that he has a lot of other tasks. I understand that forum administrators can collect statistics and suggestions for him and provide ready-made ideas. But if that’s the case — then it’s unclear why so many different messages about unresolved problems, which people constantly talk about here, still haven’t made it into the “Known Issues” list. The answer practically suggests itself: nobody read them. At best, they checked them for appropriateness, and then forgot about them.
I would understand it if even problems like broken careers weren’t fixed for months. But if they were listed in this known issues list — it would at least be clear that work is being done on them, and a fix is planned sooner or later. Right now it’s just like screaming into the void.
So on the one hand, I’m very inspired by the responsiveness of the developers. But on the other hand, I’m disappointed, because I understand that this responsiveness isn’t directed at our requests, but at those that are heard elsewhere. And it just sometimes happens that they coincide. But if they don’t — then we’ll never be heard ![]()
One example I have is a business bug I posted about since the release of 0.9. I even posted it in their Discord, but I got most responses here in the Forum. No one knows if the changes are intended or if they are a bug (the customers clear out the most of the displays in bulk).
I understand that, if this is a bug, it will take quite some time to fix it. But as you said, a lot of bugs aren’t even listed as issues…
In my opinion, if they offer something like an OFFICIAL Forum, it should at least have the same weight as Discord, if not more. And if the team cannot keep up with Discord and the Forum, then you should also be transparent about that like they are with a lot of things. Then people won’t “waste their time” posting brilliant ideas and bugs here and save their nerves.
This Forum is solely held together by a moderate amount of active users being passionate about this game. But if we are constantly being ignored, it leaves a bitter taste and demotivates…
Thank you sooo much ugh, i was stressing ![]()
I’ve stopped even writing comments on the latest “brainstorming” session. I just read them, and I respond in other threads if I can help, or ask something myself. Because what’s the point in spending time if nobody needs it?
Of course, none of us claim that our ideas are so perfect that they absolutely must be rushed into implementation. But they’re worth at least a single reading.
It just seems to me that I understand why I don’t see the people here who were so active a year ago. Apparently, they came to the same conclusion — that it’s better to voice ideas somewhere else, where people actually listen to them.
I’d be happy if I’m wrong about all this. But for now, that’s exactly how it looks…
