Group action faulty, Zois not staying together

I actually think the new group interaction feature is a great thing. It was promised that the Zois would stay together more and all that. However, I can’t confirm that. They chat with each other every now and then, but mostly everyone just continues doing their own thing. They also sit separately from each other. When I start a group at one of their homes, the Zois sometimes completely ignore each other even though they have best friend status or are in a relationship. Unfortunately, that’s not fun at all.

Yes, in the update notes it says that group members now move together, but I can’t confirm that, or at least NOT if they’re playable characters. Maybe the note only applies to NPCs?! Some notes in the list are sometimes very confusing.
