Custom Music Expansion & Radio System Overhaul

Hi Kjun and the dev team,

With Custom Music confirmed in the Fundamentals First roadmap, I’d like to propose integrating it with a broader overhaul of the in-game radio system. This would deeply enhance inZOI’s immersion and personalization.

Here are the key features I’d love to see:

  • Universal Custom BGM Playback: Allow custom tracks to play on UI screens (Lobby, City Edit, CAZ, and Build Mode) in addition to in-game audio objects like radios and venue speakers.
  • Advanced Playlist Manager: Introduce a UI that lets players import and organize local music files into menu/UI screen-specific playlists (e.g., Build Mode) or genre-specific playlists (Pop, K-Pop, Jazz, etc.). Players should also be able to create custom playlists for audio objects and toggle the default in-game soundtracks on or off.
  • Zoi Music Preferences & Moods: Tie music genres into Zoi preferences. Listening to a liked genre should apply a positive moodlet, while disliked music triggers a negative one. User-created genres can simply be classified as “Custom Music” or “Misc.” within the preference menu.
  • Playback Controls: Upgrade audio object interactions with controls to skip tracks, adjust volume, and toggle Random/Sequential play.
  • Venue Speaker Management: Allow business owners to schedule seasonal music playlists (e.g,. Winter-specific Christmas songs) using an in-game calendar interface, sync speakers by room or within the property to play the same music, as well as locking the control of venue speakers so visitors cannot autonomously override the current vibe, except for musical or DJ performances which can halt music playback from speakers.

Thank you for considering this and for all your hard work on the game!
