what will send Cahaya into overdrive

After exploring around cahaya for the past few days, first of all, I want to say I am very impressed. kudos to the dev team because it’s very obvious a lot of love went into this pack. After the exploration, i have a few suggestions/ideas that might help push the pack into overdrive. Below, I have divided the suggestions into categories for easier access.

Fishing skill

First of all, the overall experience with the fishing skill was nice, especially now that fishing is allowed everywhere. And as such, I have a few suggestions to expand the fishing skill

-certain fish will be more active (more likely to be caught) during certain times of the day. For example, seahorses are more active at night, so fishing at night means the zoi will be able to catch them.

-more common fish can be caughg on shore, while the rarer fish would require a boat ride to the deep sea

-add the ability to dig in the dirt for worms to aquire bait to use for fishing

-while the fish tanks are a very welcome addition, I feel like they could be improved. First of all, the bigger tanks should be able to hold all sizes of fish. The bigger the tank, the more smaller fish we can add. The fish will swim around in the tank and the zois can observe them, feed them, and clean the aquarium. Also, the fish could be able to swim around inside the tank.

Cooking

Nothing much can be said about cooking, but just wanted to say I am very impressed by the fact that certain new recipes now require ingredients, I hope it will eventually make its way to all recipes, with more ingredients required per dish (that can be bought at the market).

Farming

First of all, I want to preface by saying I am impressed by the farming in this game in general. It’s obvious a lot of thought went into this. Im especially impressed by the farming community lots (so we can play pretend our zois have their very own fields).

A few suggestions I have:

-add pests that our zois will need to spray for using pesticides they buy. Likewise, give our zois the ability to craft natural fertilizer

-birds could come and eat the grown crops, so we would need to buy a scarecrow or scare off the birds ourselves to deter them

-planting certain plants could help keep crops bug free within a certain range. Some plants that are known to deter bugs are basil, rosemary, mint and marigold.

-high level crafting skill could allow us to craft a garden “canopy” (which is basically a tall tower mesh that could go over small plants) that could protect the plants against pests and harsh weather conditions.

-sometimes plant growth can stall, in which case they’ll require pruning to encourage growth.

-a higher gardening skill is required to plant the more complicated crops (beginner gardeners should be able to grow mangoes).

-crops can randomly grow around the map and our zois could go collect them. Same with seeds. Seeds should spawn around the map, and our zois could collect them. Maybe even introduce super rare seeds that can only be found around the map instead of being purchased in stores.

-add pots that we can plant seeds in. Both small pots and big pots and build our very own greenhouse that will protect against pests and harsh weather

Crafting

Overall, I like the crafting mechanic and how it needs us to find materials to craft. I do have some suggestions though. each craftable tool should have a basic tier, intermediate tier and advanced tier. Ive noticed some of the tools already have this, but it should be reflected on all tools to encourage us to craft more tools. Also, we should be able to find required ingredients for crafting around the map.

Pool

The pool tool is a very welcome addition. Im glad we have this! This is a very great start. I do have some suggestions that will improve the pool tool even more

-same as platforms inside the house, allow us to have platforms inside the pool. A mechanic like this would be revolutionary because it’ll let us create variable pool depths where zois could stand in. Maybe even create baby pools for the toddlers. It’ll also let us create pool stairs as opposed to a ladder

-modular baths. Very similar to the pool tool, but much more shallow and the walls are lined with seats. We can also choose water temperature for it: either hot or cold. Not only will we be able to create large baths for rich zois so multiple zois could enjoy it together, but we can also build baths houses. Likewise, let us choose whether zois will wear nothing or a bathing suit while entering this modular bath, because adding water jets will introduce our very own hot tubs!

-allow us to build pools inside platforms so we could create raised pools. Also, let us change raised pool walls into glass walls so we could make infinity pools.

-give the “swim around” interaction so zois could swim around

Now that the base mechanics are out of the way, I have some suggestions that will take the pool and turn it into a proper pool as opposed to water hole

-pool activities! For shallow pools, water aerobics, tossing around the ball. For the rest of the pool: playing Marco polo, swim racing, holding your breath contest, back float, pretending to be mermaids (for the kids).

-exclusive pool add ons like swim up bars, diving boards, small water slides, pool basketball nets, pool waterfall feature, floating mat, water floats, maybe even a floating playground for the kids?

-pool floats should float round the pool instead of being stationary.

-Toddlers should be able to enter the pool with an adult and could be able to go inside a baby pool float.

-both toddlers and kids should either wear arm floaties or a life jacket. For toddlers it’s mandatory, for kids it’s dependant on skill level. Toddlers and kids will need to be supervised at the pool.

Now onto the resort itself. First of all, I want to preface this by saying that the overall resort experience was extremely pleasing and I really felt like im actually on a tropical vacation. I do have some more suggestions though that I will divide into categories below

The arcade

I think it was a wonderful addition to the resort, but here are some suggestions that could improve it

-add a billiard skill. allow zois practice and master trick shots, bet on billiard game, play against other zois, win tournaments.

-same as the above but with bowling

-add an arcade skill. Higher arcade skill will allow zois to score more often on certain machines, while other machines are dependant on luck.

-all arcade machines should cost to play

-allow zois to win resort coins depending on how well they perform at the arcade. This could be the foundation for a whole arcade currency where zois could exchange arcade tickets for exlusive prizes. Also, claw machine toys could be exchanged for resort coins.

-add animations to the high striker (as well as some other arcade games) to make fhe arcade feel more immersive and will let us know how our zois did

The resort room

I really love the way they look like a proper tropical vacation spot. Here are a few suggestions

-make hotel stuff perform duties in our hotel rooms like maids that come clean the rooms

-room service. Make it so that zois could order more complex meals straight to the door for a fee and allow us to tip the employees

-order in room massage service where a massage specialist will come, set up a massage chair/table and give our zois a massage (for a fee).

-rented resort rooms will unlock for all members of the household. Likewise, the ability to rent multiple resort rooms at a time (in case we come travelling with a large group).

The pool area:

-make more npc zois appear around and use it since it feels quite empty

-poolside zoomba and water aerobics

-a large stereo that plays music

-a poolside trivia contest. Every other day, there will be a trivia contest held about different topics. Zois could participate, and depending on their skill level, they could even win it. Prizes could include: scuba diving gear rental voucher, boat rental voucher, free gifts from the gift shop, resort coins.

-make the water slides (as well as theme park rides) third person view so we could watch our zois use them.

Spa

I was incredibly surprised by the spa activities. In my opinion, it even beats certain other games (cough cough). I do have some minor suggestions.

-allow us to tip massage therapist

-make the spa pass cheaper. The spa pass would let our zois enter the spa and enjoy all the amenities except the massages, which we should pay extra for (like in real life where spa massages always come with an extra cost)

-add the ability for our zois to get full body massages

-dirt masks

-a bar that serves healthy drinks like cucumber water, lemon water, various fruit infused waters, sparkling water, green tea, kombucha, ect and light healthy foods like soup, salad, sushi, naengmyeon ect

Turtle racing

I really love how this idea is included and the fact the lost coins go back into marine conservation (actually made me smile), but there ard some improvements that should be made.

-turtle robots races should be turned into a big affair as opposed to a random activity. Instead of our zois being able to bet at all hours of the day, instead make the races run 3 times a day during specific times where a lot of NPC zois will gather around and cheer on. There could be a board near the race that players could click that will send them text messages an hour before the next race to remind them

-winning a race should reward players with double the amount of coins they bet

General resort activities

-tip employees

-random occurrences like rowdie NPCs starting trouble (to add drama)

-hotel tour packages the zois can purchase (for example a fishing excursion trip that comes with a cheap boat and fishing gear that will need to be returned, or a diving excursion trip thag comes wigh a cheap boat and scuba diving gear that needs to be returned. The packages should be more expensive than renting everything yourself, but it’s there for convenience).

-kudos on the buffet!

-add beach side night clubs to the resort island (since resorts usually come with night clubs).

-add sports facilities to the resorts once more sports activities make it into the game

Cat temple

Overall, very very impressed with the cat temple. Some suggestions:

-cat temple gift shop where zois can purchase cat themed souvenirs (like clutter, decorations, cat ears, t shirts, ect)

-make tbe cats roam around tbe temple as opposed to sitting in one spot

-yoga classes for a fee

Boats

Very very fun addition with the boats, though I do have some suggestions

-allow us to click “drive here” as well, as opposed to just manual driving

-BOAT PARTIES

-ability to actually own a boat as opposed to just renting

-sunbathe on certain boats

-dive off boat

-jump off boat

-play music on boat

-dance on boat

-propose marriage on boat

Diving

Very impressed with the diving, especially the fact we can follow our zois underwater. Loved it!!! Here are some more activities thaf could make it even more impressive

-collecting lost treasure and opening treasure chests on the ocean floor

-exploring underwater caves and shipwrecks for treasure

-catching fish underwater

-buy an underwater camera that will let zois take pictures underwater

-dive while holding hands

-propose while scuba diving

Beach interactions

The beaches themselves currently feel a little dead and devoid of activities. Here are some ways to make them fun:

-sunbathe of lounge chairs

-pack pool floaties in inventory and use them in the ocean

-splash in water shallow water for all ages (toddlers included)

-play in sand for all ages as well as building sand castles

-adults can play with toddler in shallow water

-lay down a towel and relax on the beach. Ability to add a sun parasol so zois dont tan. The zois could use the towel to tan, doze off, relax, play music, read a book or scroll on their phone

-dip feet in water, sit in shallow water, jump waves, play wave tag

-dig in sand, draw in sand, look for seashells

-change into bathing suit when entering the sea

-snorkel around in shallow water
