Since 0.30, children can interact with the umbrella stands.
So all my zois are equipped with umbrellas and have been for some time.
It’s raining cats and dogs outside and my Zoi have stuff on their schedule.
So they leave the house, and DO NOT pull their umbrellas.
Rain becomes worse, they still don’t use them.
Wishlist? Nah just common sense.
If Zois are outside (uncovered location) AND it rains (no matter the intensity), then Zois need to stop w/e they are doing, pull the umbrella out, then resume w/e they where doing.
Also maybe talk with their umbrellas out, since right now the umbrella disappears when they talk and reappear later – though that might come later with multitasking.
Please make it so Zoi are smarter about umbrellas.

I would only be okay with this if it still relied on them having an umbrella in their inventory. I am one of those people who likes to get soaked in the rain and i play some (not all) of my zois that way. on the Sims 4 i actually used a mod to disable them from automatically using an umbrella because it annoyed me and interfered with my gaming, characters i wouldn’t imagine would do that.
But some characters i imagine would, so this would be fine if it required them to have an umbrella on them.
I haven’t interacted with the umbrellas yet, do you know if they can be used to block the sun also?

The problem I have is that my zoi’s don’t use umbrellas because they disappear from their inventories. I select one, the zoi uses it once, then when I tell them to fold it (because it stays in their hand forever if I don’t, even indoors) the umbrella vanishes and I have to get another.

Ohhhh, yeah I haven’t used them yet so I didn’t know, yeah that sounds annoying… I agree they should have it go back in the inventory, and instead of having it disappear and you have to go get another, having the zoi need to go put it away if they dont want it in the inventory anymore

Yep. Basically means you are getting wet on the way home because you don’t have an umbrella and no way to pick another up… I mean raincoats are a thing, but my more stylish Zois don’t want to look like a tent!

Yeah, I get that haha. Yeah hopefully they will update to have the umbrellas stay in the inventory
