I know we probably won’t see an active school for a while but I thought I’d throw some stuff I’d like to see out there. So first off what kind of school approach would you guys want to see? Would you like to see schools in each city based more off their own system or would you prefer to have all schools function more like American ones? To be more specific so in Korea usually students stay in one room for the whole day and the teachers move from class to class vs in America students being the ones moving all over. Or how students also are the ones who help out and clean the school in Korea. If they go for the American approach I’d love to see various things:
Besides the main subjects, I’d love to have art class, wood shop, pottery class, chorus, gym class, photography, computer classes such as coding and graphic design, possibly theater, music class ( and actually being able to see the zois play various instruments, like the drums, cello , violin, flute, saxophone, etc). Backtracking to the main subjects besides basic math, science, English literature and social studies I think it would add depth to start off with those and then as our zois build skills in these subjects that it breaks down into subcategories. For example math could start off as algebra and then break off into geometry/trigonometry and then calculus and even into AP classes.
For afterschool activities ( if they add them) I’m thinking debate club, maybe a robotics club, etc Sports: now I think some of the easier ones to animate would be swimming ( I’m hoping they add the backstroke eventually), I think track & field would be neat to see ( and having each 100ft of the track marked and having the proper events like the 100meter run, 200m run and 400m run, the 4 by 1, shot put, hurdling and long jump), archery, baseball, volleyball since we already have the equipment for it, basketball, soccer, and I’d love to see them tackle cheerleading too. For cheerleading I think it would be cool to have maybe 6-8 base uniforms that we could mix and match different tops and skirts along with using the color wheel for the Pom poms. Also what number of zois would be a good start? Maybe 10? Or should the number vary depending on the sport? I’d like to actually have sporting events as well so we can see our zois school compete against other ones and have a varied winning rate. Winning shouldn’t be consistent, maybe there could be a percent chance that we have of winning and it changes every game so it doesn’t become predictable. So sometimes you may win a few times in a row or lose or have a back and forth between the two. Your team may have high odds of winning initially but one of the npc zois doesn’t do as well which will decrease your chances of winning, so having realistic odds like that makes for unpredictability.
I’d like to see zois be able to do presentations ( oral ones, smart board ones, poster boards) Group projects and regular duo ones. Have zois occasionally raise their hands to ask questions or go to the bathroom ( and have a hall pass for). Certain zois can pass notes to each other, some may text or just whisper to their friend, some may just draw stuff( all of which they can get caught for and punished accordingly ). Having certain students that tend to be more disruptive or class clowns. The option for slacking zois to get extra credit. Zois who aren’t doing well be able to ask the teacher for help after school ( could be like a 30minute-1hr session)
I’d like to see zois stop by their lockers to get books for future classes about every 2-3 classes just to add that bit of realism ( also have the option to decorate our lockers in our free time). They could also touch up if they have little mirrors in there or in the bathroom ofc. Having couples walk the halls holding hands on occasion. Allowing zois to actually be late to class so if they’re in between classes and they stop to do something that make take longer, they wouldn’t automatically stop their task and this can result in zois speed walking cause they’re in a rush. For the cafeteria I think 5-6 big tables with around 10 seats on each side is sufficient enough. I’d like to see the option of at least 3-4 different meals options that zois could buy from that change daily. For lower income families meals can start off as free and then once your family starts to earn more money your zoi then has to pay $5-10 each day. Also having the option to bring meals from home.
Now I’d like to see a quad area like what college campuses have with some benches, maybe a vending machine or two, possibly a pond in the middle where zois have free time to do whatever and it could be about 40 minutes. On that note how long should classes last for? 40minutes, an hour? Also to add some realism I’d want to see some teachers stay behind after school to grade work or get things set up for the next day, help students or even just to chat with other teachers. Zois being able to get into fights and get suspended or expelled depending on how often it occurs .
Jobs for this would be the principal, teacher, janitor, school nurse, coach for preferred sport, guidance counselors
Students can also decide to tutor other students for free after school or apply for a job which they can then travel to the zois house or vice versa.
Ik this was a longgggg read lol so if you made it this far congrats
