Give Us the Drama! Emotional Depth & Realism Needed

Title: Wishlist: Give Us the Drama! Emotional Depth & Realism Needed

Okay, InZOI is drop-dead gorgeous. The graphics? Chef’s kiss. But let’s be real—it’s missing the juicy stuff. We need drama. We need chaos. We need Zois who fall in love, cheat, get caught, and spiral into emotional meltdowns.

What We’re Wishing For:

  • :broken_heart: Lovers who cheat—and partners who catch them.

  • :speaking_head: Friends who witness it and choose to spill the tea or stay silent.

  • :performing_arts: Emotional consequences: arguments, revenge, forgiveness, awkward reunions.

  • :brain: Memory system that remembers betrayals and changes future interactions.

  • :smiling_face_with_horns: Traits that shape reactions: jealous, loyal, impulsive, manipulative.

  • :fire: Reputation system: Zois react based on gossip, past behavior, and social standing.

Let drama unfold naturally, but also give us tools to stir the pot when things get too quiet. We want to play puppet master and be surprised by the chaos. Think The Sims, but with deeper emotional realism and consequences that actually stick.

InZOI has the potential to be more than just beautiful—it could be unforgettable. Give us the spice. We’re ready.

Hi @Panther77,
Thanks for sharing your inZOI ideas!
I’ve moved your post to a new thread so everyone can chat about it more easily.

We definitely need more drama in the game and I like your suggestions, especially the memory system

I’ve been trying to push the Memory System for three brainstorms in a row. But no reactions – no response from Kjun. While this brainstorm is at its peak, any engagement helps (especially another post). We all want this together, I can’t move it forward alone :slightly_frowning_face:

Another thread:

And a recent official comment response from Kjun as well:

You also suggested giving players powerful in-game storytelling tools and AI-driven NPCs that allow them to create their own stories. As shown at Gamescom, this is already under development. This new system uses an LLM-based model, not the current “Smart Zoi,” enabling NPCs to form relationships and retain memories. It offers major advantages in story generation with natural emotions, consistent logic, and contextual behavior. It’s such a promising area that I’d like to hold a separate discussion dedicated to this topic soon.
